That dude puts in a serious shift every time out. That Maradona didn't include him and Zanetti in SA was a joke. I hate City, but I really like Zabaleta.

It´s a generational thing. Except for Maradona, Argentina doesn´t typically let players age and call them up on the international stage.

They also expect them to be technically proficient (even though their style of plya has historically been English-Italian). That is to say, basculate between punt and run under it, and catenaccio with the counter.

I just don't get why their two best fullbacks were left of the squad. I mean fricking Jonas Guitterez was a starter. Offense is never the issue with Argentina. It is always defense and the keeper. Germany exposed that and Maradona had no fricking answer.

Argentina historically WAS rock solid defensively. Zanetti amazes me, although now definitely showing the slip. He is very, very intelligent, a leader, positions well (even moreso now) and absolutely delivers his all. Zabaleta is the same.

Going to midfield, I remember how Real Madrid gave up on Cambiasso, and this guy was still a stalwart in Argentina´s national side, and was serviceable at Inter.

Argentines are gonna argentine.

They are peculiar people, in general.

Many people define them as half Andalusian, half Sicilian, and they think they´re English. Explosive cocktail.

They are ultra competitive, however.

Cambiasso

Another glaring omission. They had no rock in the mid-field. He and Zanetti had just come off winning the UCL and were left of the side.

Andalusian blood, Sicilian blood, and the odd refuged Nazi, make for some amazing external combinations.

Interior, not so much, these people are more obsessed with psychology than the French.

Hah. You and I both know, the best asses are Argentinian. Best piece of arse, debatable, and for relations of any stability, probably no. Hell no.

I was going to reply with something very useful, but it´s convoluted and unintelligible in the final analysis, if in English.

Also, if I´m not mistaken, were you not married to an Argentinian?

Alright then, it´s an experience you ought enjoy.

Seriously, we´re talking about physically amazingly attributed women, who are ultra attentive, but hate rejection.

Plan properly, and prosper.

You were around for the first, were you not? I cannot recall, but it was funny when he came on with the Randy Savage moniker, as his bile was slowly creeping to the top, with every post.

I cannot recall the name now, I KNOW other posters remember.

Were the search function capable of recalling posts from the last World Cup, you´d find it, easily. He was the one who screamed every Netherlands foul was not, and all Spanish activity was worthy of a foul and red card.

I don't think so. It took me a few months after I joined TD to make my way over here.
