Too busy preparing my kid to be a major leaguer. Kicking a soccer ball around won't help you learn to throw a nasty curve.

At least one of those teams are going to Fairhope, AL for their tournament instead
That sucks but the Fairhope complex is really nice.

Which ones are bigger? The Birmngham tournament?

There are black, orange, and purple brackets for 2005, 2006, and 2007 boys. That's a ton of teams.

ETA: probably should have said one if the biggest...

216 teams over 4 days, I don't know if it's the biggest but I'd guess it's up there

I know there were only 8 U12 girls teams total for United Cup, 16 are in Mandeville. However, there were tons of Boys teams there, 4 divisions of U11 and 3 of U12 if I'm not mistaken.

Well it’s 1000% not the biggest, and I don’t have a ranking list in front of me, so I can’t say where it falls but I’d guess well outside the top 10.

Look no further than CASL and Disney who have more teams than that in each gender if you want to be amazed.

Just a helpful hint, you’re gonna have to look at Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Those states don’t frick around in regards to soccer. Just looked up my clubs tournament in Atlanta for an example and they had 380 teams playing this year

Real teams aren’t interested in tournaments with the most teams, but with the best teams. Think supercopa or Dallas cup.

Edited to say 'one' of the biggest. U13 should start more, read further, travel for us. Things'll only get more interesting as it gets more competitive.

There's only one gold level team in this tournament, we (the only silver team) lost to them in a shootout in a tournament final a couple of months ago...so yea, a tournament with all gold level teams would be much "bigger".

CASL and Disney are pretty much on that level. I know the Dallas cup is elite as well but those are 3 of the best tournaments/showcases you’ll find in the country.

Looking forward to it as long as the weather is nice. My son is on one of the BRSC U10 teams.

"Real" is a poor choice of words tbh. This isnt a showcase type tournament. Originally it was a division 1 tournament (that's what they used to call the 2nd division in the state league). Premier was the 1st division and premier teams weren't even allowed to enter. They accept a few top level teams now but it's not really geared for that. It was always about the halloween part with teams dressing up, painted faces, etc.
