Michael Bradley and his future replacement.

Very nice goal tonight, but I'm increasingly growing concerned with him. All the talking heads mention that he's better suited to play deeper, and I agree he's shite in the attacking role, but I get very tense with him on the ball close to goal. It seems that at any moment he's going to turn the ball over, and is lacking in recovery these days.
So, who are the potential players that can challenge him for his position in the coming years? Specifically, and without getting too far ahead of myself, who are the guys most likely to win his spot for Russia, or is Russia too close now?

I know lletget played out wide tonight and got injured, but I feel as though he could play a similar role. I believe he is already doing a similar job with the galaxy.

No, this will be Cam's last cycle.
The answer is hope that Acosta or Hyndman develops.

Yeah, I caught some of the stoke game last weekend and noticed Cameron was playing more centrally instead of his typical defensive position. When did he make the switch, and how has he done?

Geoff Cameron is a monster at soccer, period. Center back, fullback, CDM...doesn't matter. His preferred position is CDM and he's really good at it.
I think Acosta will be the same sort of versatile player eventually

Acosta is Already the man.

True. Probably our most versatile player. Super athletic and great skill, especially impressive for a guy his size.
Even when he does play in the midfield for the US or Stoke, he's not the deep lying distributor/playmaker that Michael is. More of a sit in front of the back four, destroyer type who will make the occasional burst forward towards goal when space is there. He's one of my favorite players to watch for the US.

Our next up CDM options are Perry Kitchen, Kellyn Acosta, Will Trapp, Dax McCarty, Fatai Alashe, or some other unknown player.
We could also slot a defensive minded CM there instead a true 6 with Danny Williams, Alfredo Morales, Joe Corona, Hyndman, etc.
Edit: Cameron ofc can still do it but that seems a bit presumptuous.

Having Hyndman play deep would be making the same mistake again. He has been horrible for Sevco every time he's played there. Play players in their natural positions.

Hyndman is more two-way than you are giving him credit for.

Have you watched him play in that role? I have.
Him being played in that position has been one of the reasons given for why Mark Warburton (Sevco's last 'official' manager) was sacked.
Playing Hyndman deep would be stupid.

Then where are you going to play him? Because it looks like Pulisic is going to be a No. 10 for us for a long time.

He can play wide in a diamond or as Pulisic's backup.
