Honestly how accurate do you think this is? If it was true I could only think his reasoning would be him not getting any playing time at all there like Yedlin and Tottenham.

Apparently Leicester, and Stoke made a run at him and he turned those down as well, but there is no indication of when the offers were made.

I wouldn't go to a big club unless I was a bona fide star. Plenty of big club youngsters are going elsewhere now because they won't ever sniff the first team, which can ruin a career.

True, he's very settled at NYRB and playing like an All-star. No reason to leave unless he felt like he was ready for a major jump.

Exactly. He's 20 years old and a rock at the back for supporters shield winning team with a great young coach there to help him further develop. He's a defender so his shelf life/peak is longer/further away than most players. His time will come for Europe.

He needs to play right now. All the time. I see no reason to move to Europe at this point.

And he is having to deal with some pretty good attacking players in the MLS now.

He's obviously not interested in a relegation battle.

Juergen better call this kid up with the quickness.

quote:

Judging by both countries’ defensive concerns, it should not take too long for that call to arrive. Jurgen Klinsmann has been unable to settle on a regular centre-back pairing recently - especially following the decline of Omar Gonzalez - and Poland boss Adam Nawalka has struggled to find a player to complement Torino stalwart Kamil Glik at the back. Zbigniew Boniek - arguably the greatest Polish player of all-time and now the president of the country's federation - contacted Miazga and made his pitch recently, promising that he’ll be called up soon. "My family wants me to play for Poland and my friends encourage me to choose US. I'm torn. I feel both Polish and American, I really do. It’s hard, so hard.” Read more at LINK

To be fair, winning these dual-national battles is one thing that Jurgen as been consistently good at.

In that interview he says he will probably go with the team that calls him up to the senior side first. So it's up to Jurgen to do so... and I hope he does sooner rather than later.

This is from his Wiki.

On 5 November 2015, Miazga was quoted as saying: "I'm totally undecided. I’ll wait to see who calls me first to the main national team and see what happens then.”

I mean frick, just call him up for WCQ's next week... We could start a Soccer Board All Stars XI and beat St Vincent/Grenadines and Trinidad

He better be on the list Sunday. He is one we can't afford to lose.

He should already be paired with Besler as our second team of CBs, behind a first team pairing of Cameron and Ream.

Alvarado and Orozco both need to be taken out back and shot.
