Just saw a video of the luke shaw injury. That was nasty and they think he'll be back by March? Seems awfully optimistic.

Those injuries can take a full year, and that's not including the psychological problems that arise.

Ya, thats what Im saying 4 months for a completely broken leg. That thing was dangling.

Sucks, one of the few reasons I watch ManU. Wanted to watch how he progressed.

See Ramsey and Eduardo from Arsenal. Steve Zakuani was basically forced into retirement. He was one of the most exciting players in MLS. Such a shame.

djibril cisse a nd alan smith were both expected to be out for like 18 months and i think cisse made it back in 6, smith in 7. granted neither player was quite the same as before, but as long as the bone heals and they clear the mentla hurdles they have a chance.

Meanwhile, Chicharito can't stop scoring in Germany.

Goals in all competitions since the start of October:
Chicharito: 11
Manchester United: 10

Also, congrats on having 5 0-0 ties in the last 9 games. I should probably pick up a united defender for my fantasy team.

Yes, you should. That would make good sense.

The thing of it is that as poor as we've been going forward thus far this season we're still just 1 point off Arsenal and three points off the top. Every team in the league (Leicester excluded) has been shite for consistency so far - an actual good team would be 6-8 points ahead of the pack by now. I don't know what to think about all of it. Nobody's shown any real form so even though we've been mediocre at times we've still got every chance to finish well in the league. The style of play is pragmatic but no doubt difficult to watch at times. LvG isn't going anywhere before the end of his contract so doesn't really matter. We'll all just have to bed in and support the "process" and "philosophy."

Looks like Zee German is getting charged with violent conduct for his forearm to Reid's chest.

Could be out for three games

What are the chances United can just get dropped out of Europa quickly, in 2012 Bilbao-like fashion?

Well we can take some positives from tonight. The youngster played good for such a pressure match.

very high imo. i think we lose in the first round we play in.

borthwick-jackson, varela and to a lesser degree powell all played well. so i guess that's good.

To rub some more salt in the wound, my new United hoodie came in today. Would've been a lot better to see after advancing instead of that nut punch I just went through.

It's this one:
