It was great to see Basti get on the scoresheet today. Think he had a goal and an assist? I just hope this isn't a one time and done start for him

Jose said Basti is now part of the Europa squad as well. The fixtures are still going to be congested so expect to see him play a lot more.

Was great to see Basti get the start and see him do some good things on the pitch. I though TFM played great until he was hurt, but honestly though Tuanzebe looked good after he came on. The only thing that slighty concerned me was that it looks like he might have a Tony V aversion to using his left foot. Could have been nerves and not wanting to screw anything up on his debut. Other than that, very pleased for his and pereira's debuts.

He's a CB by trade so I wouldn't take to much into the kid playing RB to fill in for TFM.

The only real knock I would have on Jose's tenure thus far is his unwillingness to deputize Martial and Rashford in a pure striker's role on a more frequent basis. Rashford has gotten a little time in that role but not enough (at least not in meaningful games). Martial has gotten none.
There are games when teams just sit deep, and we get stale in the attack, continuously getting the ball wide and pumping it into the box. I would like to see Martial/Rashford come on for Ibra or partner with him around 65 minutes in games like last night, to add some variation in the attack. Both those guys could have success running at the last defender. Granted, we should be finishing more chances than we are, but some variation and a real Plan B would be helpful as well.
Rooney doesn't add anything different to Ibra as a second option, and, in fact, many would argue doesn't add anything at all as a striker at this stage. Would really like to see Jose get those young guys some minutes in their most natural position.

Did what we needed to do. I liked Mkhi in the 10 he put a much more pressure on Leicester back line than we have seen this season. Hopefully we can build on the win and get some confidence and momentum to find the back of the net to make a run

We stay in form like this rest of season .. We should definitely see Champions League next year either by Top 3 finish or winning Europa League!!!.... Only 2 pts off 4th and 5 points off 3rd ... Let's go boys we got this!!! Glory Glory !!
