We had a keeper that was clearly top 3 in the EPL and really solid in champions league and pep pissed him away for a marginal upgrade at best.

it was not an upgrade. i know pep's system is built so that everything starts from the back, but at what cost? i'm clearly no pep, but in my mind, the keeper needs to save shots, above all else. if not, we might as well play with 11 field players.

We've known it for a while, but Zaba is moving on.

One of my favorites. Few play with the passion he does. Sad to see him go.

Oh Pablo Zabaleta, he's the fricking man

Soooooo, this the off-season thread too?

Sandro is looking solid. Walker has been called by a few ITKs. Alexis seems to be heating up. Fabinho is gaining traction.

I love the silly season.

And with that, the only player left on City's team from the time I decided I would follow them as "my team" is Vincent Kompany. I think I picked them up in 2009. I know Hughes was still the coach. YaYa was not yet with the team, nor was Silva, although the both came in 2010, I think. Aguero wasn't until 2011/12.

So long Zaba!

Kit launch was scheduled for tomorrow, but has been pushed back because of what happened Mon night.
Here it is. White shorts are back. Appears to have maroon trim on socks.

Eden Dzeko scored 38 goals for Roma in all comps this season. Shattered Totti's record.

Just sayin'...

Every time I opened my mouth to say how much I disliked Dzeko, he'd score a goal. It was like magic.

I figured he would hang around another season.

So we now have one outside back.

The front 3 is settled. Kun/Jesus up top. Sterling, Sane, Jesus outside.

Silva, KDB, Ilkay, Yaya (hopefully?), A. Garcia make up the midfield. REALLY wanna add Fabinho and that rumor seems to be heating up. Gives you some solid rotation and Ilkay/KDB/Fabinho would really open up KDB to do what he does. Ilkay busts arse both ways and Fabinho is a solid DM. That's a great midfield.

The back line is still a work in progress. Stones showed some serious potential but he made some dumb mistakes as well. I would love to see him paired with VK some next season. We need to add another CB though. We can't count on Vinnie to stay fit and while good, Otamendi and Stones both need a "rock" back there to keep them in line.

Fullbacks...well we have a Serbian war criminal. Walker rumors are going crazy. Sandro has picked up steam. We've been linked to Mendy and, while I think it would be great, I'm not holding my breath. 2 of those 3 would be great but we still need a 4th.

Keeper is my biggest concern. Bravo is crap and he's all we've got. I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt but holy hell he was bad. He made Willy look like a godsend. Maybe an outside shot Hart comes back? I don't think he will but damn, we're thin. We need Ederson, Rulli, or Pickford. I have no idea where we go.

Gonna be a fun summer though, no doubt.

He made the Serie A's worst team of the year

I want Fabinho and Kyle Walker badly.

Fabinho can be a backup RB and also can fill in the midfield in Toure's role.

I really hope we give Maffeo a chance.

ETA: City are odds on favorites to land Bernardo Silva as well. I know that doesn't mean much, but it's something. Would add great depth.
