Swag? Get used to him. The guy is a football maniac (and encyclopaedia). The English are going to enjoy it.

His brand of football, I don´t know (I think they´re really hoping it will floursh there, but there must be tremendous patience).

I'm glad he'll be at city. That interview with Noel got me even more excited. "I just want to learn and figure it out." That's the beauty of Pep. He's a damn genius to begin with (and I hate applying that tag to managers) and he still wants to learn and adapt. The best ones learn, evolve, and adapt.

I think it'll work. Like I said, he knows how to adapt. City also has a pretty selfless team that will be willing and eager to learn. You can say a ton about City, but you can't deny they've built a pretty high character squad. Yayas a shithead but he's likely gone.

We'll have some growing pains but I think his tenure will be successful.

Newest signed is Kieran 'Kez' Brown who was the club's first eSports addition.

He'll be representing MCFC with FIFA 16/17 content on the club's website and on Twitch.

Sane and Stones are supposedly all but done.

What a damn fee for Stones, but that's the market today. He's young, promising, and English. I think he can flourish under Pep though.

Sane has me pumped.

Sane is a great signing IMO, I don't really like the pick up of Stones.

I really hope Mangala gets a another run. He showed some real glimpses at times last year.

Also guess Denayer will be loaned out again.

i'm with you on both sane and stones.

i wonder when the plug finally gets pulled on denayer. its hard to believe he's only 21, i feel like he's been on the periphery for a long time.

They have to take a chance and overpay on some English players. They didn't have Iheanacho for the 1st half of the Champions League and Nasri for the 2nd last year. They added Nolito and Gundogan and can't keep just adding foreign players. If they ever replace Hart that will mean they lose another spot (I can't see him sticking around to be 2nd).

Mangala will get another year I feel. Denayer isn't ready and I'm wondering if he ever will be. He goes on loan and we have 3 CB and one that's arguably the best in the game......when he can play. I hate to say it, but Vinnie needs to go if he can't stay fit. We can't afford to have this revolving door at CB.

If we close sane then I feel like Navas is gone. He tracks back and is pacy as hell but he offers dick on attack.

i was reading an article yesterday comparing denayer to kompany, but i just don't see it. again, he's young, but i just don't have the feeling, based on the limited minutes i've seen him play, that he will get over the hump.

i think kompany will be fine.

navas and myself provide the same quality of cross and scored the same amount of premier league goals last season, and i don't make £90,000 a week, so i'm ready to see him go.

I too always compare myself to Navas But he does play great defense that was key in champions league.

What about YaYa? Is he gone yet? Is he still gonna go?
Haven't heard much about him.

Last I heard is that YaYa is gonna stay, but that was just on the team's subreddit. I don't think there has been anything official though.

I've heard it elsewhere also. Inter and Mancini want him but are waiting on the new money to come and/or don't want to pay his wages. The guy who said that said he'll likely be with the team until the January window.

A few notes from the past several days:

The club signed Argentinian GK Geronimo Rulli, but loaned him right back to Real Sociedad for the season.

A lot of reports about the signings of Stones and Sane likely coming in the next several days. Looks like Stones is going to be somewhat for sure at this point with Juventus likely refusing to sell anyone else off if this Pogba deal goes through.

City are also in the process of making a move for West Ham starlet Reece Oxford

Another transfer target is Gabriel Jesus, a 19-year-old star at Palmeiras. The kid is called the 'New Neymar' in Brazil and City are reportedly lining up a 30+ mil euro move for him.

Looks like City is also going to do their pre-season in the U.S. next season

Ugh I need this Sane signing to go through. I think he is the man whose name I put on my kit this season. A lot of people on the subreddit have said the kit isn't as bad as they though it was in pictures so that's promising. Also, the crest is beautiful this season. I can't wait to see it up close.

Good see Zinchenko in the 11. Also happy to see Kelechi got his visa stuff worked out to make the trip.

ETA: Was Iheanachos visa issues for Germany or the other pre-season stuff?

Pep praised Angelino and Maffeo this afternoon after the match.

quote:

Pep: "I'm so happy. We spoke about many things and we did them well. Pablo Maffeo and Angelino played amazing."
