What exactly was the story on Zenit replacing Spalletti?

For as much of a master he is tactically -- mainly such a keen knack for adjustments that put players into positions where they immediately break out into world beaters -- I do know that he has a real "my way or the highway" approach with some star players (and management). . .

I think he's easily the most underrated managers in the game, meaning you hardly ever see his name come up when people start to list off top managers when he's been as innovative and impressive as almost anyone for over a decade now. . .

He also famously claims to have AS ROMA tattooed on his balls.

On sale today if you are a member of the Missouri Athletic Club.

Yeah. There a bunch of groups they gave presale codes to for this. I got mine from the LFC-STL supporters group. When I bought mine there probably half the stadium sold already two hours into the presale. I doubt tickets will last long when the are open to general public for sale Wednesday morning.

How's the drive to St Louis from BatonRouge? I'd love to bring my boys to one of these friendlies.

Drive to Hammond and turn left on I-55 North. It is that simple.

A good stopping point is Madison, Mississippi. Backyard Burgers, Five Guys, Schlotskey's, etc.

There is good barbecue in Memphis. The brown chopped pig sandwich at Dixie Pig in Blytheville, Arkansas, and the ribs at Chubby's in Hayti, Missouri, are both good too, but not nearly as good as they used to be.

Lots of people like Lambert's in Sikeston, Missouri. It has good food and plenty of it. Nothing special just good food and they throw rolls at you.

They are not eat-in places, but Stonie's in Perryville, Missouri, and Oberle's in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, are both very good meat markets.

There is good barbecue in St. Louis too. The ribs are from the bottom, are meatier than baby backs, and have more of a bacon flavor. Baby backs have more of a loin flavor.

Tony's in St. Louis is a great restaurant. For Italian food it is very hard to go wrong on "The Hill," but Giovanni's has the reputation as the go to place. Charlie Gitto's, Gian-Tony's, and Dominic's also get great revues. If you want something really convenient then stay at the Drury Inn by Union Station and eat in house at Lombardo's.

A great place to stay is the Missouri Athletic Club. Membership is not required. The rooms are clean, comfortable, adequate, and cheap, but other than that pretty small and nothing special at all. Guests get to use the Jack Buck Grille which is pretty doggone good. You can also use the athletic facilities at the club for a small fee. Shorts and denim are allowed only when checking in and out at the MAC. Team clothing is also banned except on game day. There will probably be a shuttle from the MAC to and from Busch Stadium.

He was sacked after a Champions League loss to Borussia Dortmund in the Round of 16.

Zenit also had been in a bad stretch domestically that saw CSKA jump them in the table. Add to that CSKA was the defending RFPL champion despite Zenit signing Hulk and Witsel, there was a belief Spalletti had lost the players.
