ETA: Also starts to really get exposure instead of being in some obscure league that is hard to watch their games unless in a CL match.
Play against better talent week in & week out.

There is no guarantee..
Ultimately I do think a move to LFC is good for where he is in his career. If he is as good as hic manager thinks, he will have no problem moving on past us at that point.
He is probably looking at LFC as a stepping stone in his career since no CL clubs are calling. Which is fine as far as I'm concerned.

I'm very optimistic and excited about the season, but I don't think CL will happen. 2014/15 are where my sights are set on.

Eh....while I quasi agree with the manager's statements, the thing that struck me is the desperation in it. The quality of life living in England, the raise in pay, the upward form of the squad right now, the international brand, it all makes a move to England a positive thing. Lucescu is right in a sense in that we offer no CL. But the level of talent around Mkhit will drastically increase (assuming Suarez stays). Sometimes you make investment moves for the betterment of your career even though the impact will not be immediate. There are many things that put Liverpool on a level above Shakhtar, and I think Europe (albeit a big one) is probably the only one that doesn't.

IMO, thats just his manager taking a shot... LFC is a far better club playing in a far better league. It is a global club! I dont care if we are in CL or not. I do agree it will be hard to get with essentially a big six, competing for 4 spots.
Also, I think players see what BR has going and want to play that kinda football...
I mean Suarez left regular league titles and CL football at a big club, to move to LFC...
If HM lives up to his billing and we cant get CL, he may eventually leave us, but over the years, we only lose our best players to RM and Barca (w/Torres exception)...

It sounds like a dude just trying to gin up more interest in his product to up the price.
Not saying he's not worth 25 but I hope we stick to paying what we evaluate at and draw the line
