I know it isn't popular, but I'd still go after Pato...

Rumors are the players and supporters of Corinthians are not happy about the huge salary he's on... That and with their bad run have made things testy..

Edit: he has world class ability and I for one think there is something to his claims that the Milan lab were a big contributor to his muscular injuries while in Italy..

Bradley wouldn't be my first choice as CDM, but would be an interesting choice for sure... If he doesn't get playing time with De Rossi and Strootman playing well, I read he could push for a move in Jan, with this being a WC year...

Also, what a signing Diego Costa would have been... He's been outstanding this year...

Mine either. I'm not as high on him as some. At least in regard to domestic play.

I think a CDM is a must in January.

To start over Lucas, Gerrard, or sub off one of those two in any second half we have a lead in?

As for Pato - if the price is right, I can dig it. But I'm talking less of a fee than Cou. There's a lot of risk there.

Can I get some opinions on Sterling? Am I the only one that thinks he doens't have it thus far this year? Not nearly as explosive or confident as he was at times last year. Doesn't link up very well or take guys on effectively. Its like he's playing his own game out there. I had hoped he would grow a bit from last years performance, but he looks to have regressed to me.

CDM to start over Lucas... I just don't think he has what it takes to be a next level CDM...

I'd pay ~15 for Pato (Corinthians paid 12)...

I think Sterling has played just fine when he's been given time, I just think he really needs a year long loan where he starts regularly.. He is only 18.

Been saying this for awhile. We're just still hurting from the winger disease.

If he is willing to fight and no way we would take his wages either.

And Sterling would definitely benefit from a loan in the Championship. I think he still needs to mature physically and mentally.

Eta: I can't wait to see Suso after his loan spell either. It'll be exciting the youth we have in the squad.

At this point, I'm just hoping my power doesn't go out at 9am Saturday morning.

This is one of those games we need to put away early.

I've decided not to go to the Bama game tomorrow, so I should be able to watch us beat CP.

Love to see some of those old guys and the style of the photos/team photo, etc.

So....

With Lucas out for yellow card accumulation, Allen out...what do you guys think will be the lineup this week?

Do you move Henderson back into there? He certainly has the energy, but can he be effective as a CDM?

That probably puts Moses out on the wing instead of his more central role the last few weeks.

Does that move Aspas back into the line-up? Sterling? Alberto?

I guess with his energy I'd like to see Henderson play CDM and then get Alberto on the pitch (I think Aspas has had his shot and Alberto needs one).

Very interesting question... last week, when Moses was subbed off Hendo moved more central and Raheem was the RWB... Raheem was also played as a RB with the under 21s recently..

Other than that, I think Agger as the middle CB on for Skrtel...

I'm thinking you MAY see that this weekend and Palace may be the right team to experiment with that line up...

If we stick with the 3-5-2 this week, and I believe we will, I think we keep the back 3 the same. I'm not sure what Agger's status is, but I see no reason to rush him back if he isn't fully ready to go. I also think the Henderson sub for Lucas is a must. Gerrard stays where he is. For the wingbacks, I would run Enrique and probably Wisdom. Maybe Kelly if he is good to go? But I don't trust Sterling at this point. Maybe this is the match where he could regain some confidence, but I'm just not seeing it. I keep Moses in the middle.

I think we do stick with 3 at the back... Of course if Agger isn't ready, I'd say Skrtel in the middle of the back 3. If Agger is ready, I think you go with him because he is better than Martin and much better with the ball at his feet. That said, I have confidence in Martin...

I really think, looking at what they've done with Raheem, given the opponent, you will see him at RWB...

Oh absolutely. Completely agree.

You're probably right on here. I wouldn't hate it. It's also not like Wisdom would an upgrade. I thought he was garbage last time I saw him, which was against Swansea, right?

As a RWB you want them to be able to attack and Wisdom just doesnt have that ability... He's a serviceable right back though... I believe we all think his future is at CB.

If the Raheem experiment isnt working, perhaps sub him in... but hopefully Toure and Hendo will have his back... Also, I know nothing about CP... who is on their left side? A big attacking threat?

One other thing... not trying to ruin Luis' return, but does anyone else think he's gone in January?? I'm starting to think so...

If he keeps banging them in, he will be very valuable, especially since he isnt cup tied...

January or summer?? Does anyone think if we wait it out until summer and finish top 4 he will stay?

I think it really depends on table position. If we are competing for top 4, or better I don't think we can sell him in January, unless we take the Tottenham approach and buy all our replacements before selling him. But even then, January doesn't provide a whole lot of time to get guys in. But I suppose we will only need the 1 to satisfy his position in the squad. But who could that possibly be for us?

Theinsideright.com has a very comprehensive preview of the CP match, complete with infographics match photos. I have only skimmed it though, so I couldn't tell you too much about them other than that they seem like a countering machine who attacks heavily on the right.
