The Russian League has pulled level with Ligue 1

Take out PSG, and they are pretty much the same

The Championship is above Ligue 2

Maybe not on individual skill, but England-2 sides have way more money

Yes, I agree, but the Championship means they have more TV dollars, which means they buy more imports

If we're talking domestic players, yes the French are better of course

That's the English model though, buy lots of imports = good league

somehow translate high paying league to good English league

then England falls on their face

In fairness, besides PSG, most teams can't keep their players very long.

L1 can't pay the way other major European leagues can. L1 also has very strict financial fair-play regulations (stricter than most of Europe) which means even teams like Monaco and Marseille need to sell players to avoid sanction.

As the seasons pass this much is obvious to me. The young players are fleeced every single transfer window it seems.

A look at the L1 table has PSG in 6th. Nice while it lasts.

Also, Keys Open Doors, how about 2 goals from Mevlut Erdinc?

According to some reports out of the French media, Gérard Lopez may/may not be very close to purchasing Olympique de Marseille.

The reports have been officially denied, The owner has officially denied the reports, but the reports indicate the 'official' announcement will take place on August 28th or August 29th.

The crazy part? Marcelo "El Loco" Bielsa is supposedly being hired back to be the manager of the club.
