He should be fired right now. Sunni doesn't have the balls to do it though

I hope he takes it! Though, probably not, the England job is cancer.

For the love of God, please let this happen. I will legitimately throw a party.

Southgate, Hoddle, Bilic, and Blanc all have to say no before Klinsmann receives an offer is my guess.

Who is Jurgi's replacement? Give me a top 5?
Posted on 6/30/16 at 9:20 pm to Linkovich
I bet they hire an interim for the next 2 games and hire a full time replacement for the Hexagonal.
Either Andy Herzog or Tab Ramos would then be the coach until we get a full time replacement.

Agreed. But who realistically can lead US talent to the next level that's willing to take the job?

Let's see if Marcelo Bielsa is still interested. He's free at the moment.
Jason Kreis is the other interim option.

Yes.

The American fanboy's Guardiola. Just my opinion here, but from afar, Kreis has always seemed like a huge dipshit to me.

What is the basis for this opinion?
I say this because he managed Real Salt Lake to a very good 7-year run that included 2 MLS Cup appearances not to mention he did an exemplary job leading RSL through CONCACAF CL all the way to the final.
The only hiccup on his CV is his one year at NYCFC's inaugural season. It would seem odd to focus solely on that unsuccessful turn while ignoring all of his accomplishments. Not to mention that NYCFC's opening season was one of total flux from the top down.

He had no EXCEPTIONAL talent at RSL, either. Alvaro Saborio, Robbie Findley and Javier Morales were the best players he had.

The one thing I find slightly interesting about all the England speculation is that in the past when linked with a job Klinsmann has been fairly quick to come out publicly and dismiss it, either at a presser or on twitter.
It's been crickets from him so far, which may say something about his interest or nothing at all. But it seems a departure from his normal tact.

There's no way they would hire him, surely...
The press there would be a nightmare for him.

I understand you're very knowledgeable of all things across the pond.
That being said, nothing is going to stop me from clinging to every imaginary lead and hoping beyond hope that this fricking a-hole who is poisonous to U.S. Soccer - the first thing other than my family that I ever loved - is on his way out.
A soccer board poster could submit a picture of a piece of toilet paper that has "Klinsmann to Ghana" written on it, and I would consider day-drinking in celebration. (And I work tonight.)
I am ready for this multi-year existential crisis to be over, so please, cut me some slack.

As sheep mentioned, he was successful at RSL with no marquee players, which makes him sound like a solid match for the US. NYCFC fricked him over. They didn't give him the control he was promised, while shoving specific players he didn't want/need (Pirlo, Lampard) down his throat. Lampard fricked the team, and then the team fricked Kreis, firing him after only a season when the team would clearly take time to mesh and build, probably because MCFC wanted to get Vieira experience. No coach has ever led an expansion team to the playoffs in their first year. Pretty shitty situation all around. Hard to root for NYCFC with all the MCFC meddling.
