My contention is that he is the best "team player" in the world. Like giving the Lakers Steve Nash when he was 28 instead of 36. Ozil is hitting the prime of his career right now. I can't believe RM actually let him go.

You can pinch me on the arse at the Bayern/Arsenal UCL Final this May...

Ancelotti was a fricktard for not using Ozil centrally. You do not just give away one of the ten best players in the world.

In my mind, Madrid had four players that are pretty irreplaceable coming into the year.

CR7
Ozil
Varane (current and future value)
Marcelo (LB is so thin)

It is a move that will hopefully cause the RM board to lose sleep the rest of their lives.

We'll see what happens when Arsenal and Dortmund square off in 3 weeks. Should be a fantastic match. Cazorla will be back by then.
cant.wait. will be awesome.

I've said it a thousand times on here, but I fricking hate that Arsenal got Ozil. He is my favorite German player and has been for years. I love watching him, but now I can't pull for him.

It's too early to proclaim Arsenal as the best in the world, but how they're playing right now is soooooo impressive. Bayern still have the edge IMO.

Check back in a few months.

Bayern and Dortmund for me, still.

i just feel it's silly to not have these as the top 2. were clearly the best 2 teams in the champions league last year, have continued to be dominant in the league so far this year, and have both looked great in the champions league so far this year.

last night aside, we haven't exactly been blowing people out. we've had moments of brilliance and a lot of resolve but we still have room to improve. should be fun when others return and özil gets more and more comfortable.
