If you could pick one player (any player, all time) for your team, who is it?

i was watching the new Football Daily vid and they offered it with 3 options but that's a bit much, so one feels pretty ripe for discussion. you can pick any player from any era from any team
for Real, an all-time striker is tempting t replace Benzema, but i think that would be overkill
i think claude makelele would fit in perfectly and really help their starting 11

That's a tough one... I know the smart pick would be someone to tighten up the defense...
However, a Stevie G. in his prime in one of the B2B MF roles or Suarez to spearhead the attack would be incredible... Xabi in the deeper role in MF would also be good..
I guess just due to him being a local legend... I'd go with Stevie..
