After 4 straight titles, Juve is feeling the pain of losing top players and being managed by Allegri. They have 0 points through 2 matches.

I guess Roma will win their first Scudetto since 2001 and just 4th overall. Man I would love to be in Rome for that party.

FWIW, fricking Chievo is top of the table right now.

I think Roma is the best team but one that is very susceptible to devastating injuries like what happened last year. Already missing Strootman means lack of midfield depth and Roma may be very deep in young talent but they're all really young and likely not ready to be plugged into a Scudetto chase.

Inter will be very much improved and may be an early favorite for a CL spot.

I think Sarri will get Napoli on track and they'll be a strong contender. Attack is outrageous and great to see them playing with an old-fashioned trequartista but CBs aren't top notch.

Fiorentina will always be fun to watch and dangerous but likely end in a EL spot.

Milan will be better but think it takes Mihajlovic a second season before they really contend though they'll likely come on strong in challenging for a EL spot.

Juve is still the team the beat in the long run and Roma, Inter, Napoli etc need to create distance before everyone gets healthy and Dybala etc come on.

I was living in Rome for the last Scudetto and it was like Mardi Gras for about 10 straight days. Never experienced anything like it in relation to sports.

What do you know of the guy they signed today, cant think of his name right now?

the league should be really fun this year, the milan teams still have work to do but I think Juve and Roma will come down to be neck and neck and as inter figure out there new players they will be a close third.

WTF happened to Lazio this weekend? and can it happen every weekend pls

Also why sell Lajlic to inter a direct competitor?
why not move him to EPL instead.

Good point, though I would say Fiorentina selling him to Roma is also a direct competitor.

It's amazing how they sat back and did little to address their actual needs.

They completely came back to the pack. Pack didnt reel them in, they came back to them.

They need to get healthy and stay within top 4, then make some moves to fill the needs in January.

They actually tried but Ljajic rejected every EPL side that was interested (West Ham, Aston Villa, etc). Can't really blame him as I'm sure he left money money on the table to compete for a CL spot.

The midfielder we singed was William Vainqueur. He's about 25, French and is a defensive mid. He played a few seasons for Standard Liege and then Dynamo Moscow.

Mr Personality may know more about him.

Roma fans on the couple of Italian boards I read were let down by the signing, thinking it was another Emanuelson type signing at the deadline for only desperation depth.

However, there were also quite a few Belgian/Russian posters that said he was one of the best midfielders in both leagues and should be a solid rotation player.

I'm just thankful we finally have a LB and Digne was fricking incredible last night.

Dzeko too to be honest. I never recall him being so active passing and defending when at City though guess that's also the difference the 4-3-3 makes.

Meh, it's half and half. Do agree that Juve took a step back. Betting on Khedira being healthy/good is the real puzzling decision.

However...

Roma is better since they finally have a real #9 and LB and lost no one that matters (aside from Strootman injury). Both were big holes the past two seasons but finances meant they had to build slowly.

Also, Inter is better by a long shot with all their additions and probably Napoli will be as well due to replacing Benitez with Sarri and adding a solid midfielder in Allan, Reina etc and losing no key players. .

When Yann M'Vila got drunk and trashed the frick out of his apartment in Moscow, while the cops were looking for him, he stayed at William Vainquere's house.

Yeah, the "Hill" in St.Louis is where all the Italians and Italian eateries were, had buddies who worked at a couple of places, it was fun to talk shite to the inter and milan fans, they were the worst..

One old dude, told me about a kid from padova(ADP), talked him up, how he watched him in old country, while back on vacation. lol. Then when he signed at Juve, he followed the Juve bandwagon, he was the biggest Del Piero fan outside of Italy. He went back and caught a few games, following Juventus around, and had a bunch of pics with him and Alex DP. It was cool, seeing this 80 year old man, being such a groupie of ADP. He just loved the game.

I always laughed, because ADP only scored 1 goal at Padova, yet he called him the "Next" great Italian player.

BeIn somehow isn't available in So Cal so I feel your pain. I watched the Viola collapse on a stream I found from Reddit.

That's crazy. Seems it would be Barca and Real's #1 US market.

In NY, BeIN and BeIN Espanol seem to be in all the "sports" packages.
