I've loved the game all of my life, but despite the increasing amount of worldwide coverage I just couldn't find a club to support.

I've seen Man U vs Chicago Fire at Soldier field, and I tried really hard to like Man U but just couldn't. I've seen MB90 play at Stadio Olimpico for Roma, but that didn't stick either.

I was in London, couldn't get CL tickets for Arsenal vs Marseille, settled for a stadium tour, and as fate would have it Chelsea was where I ended up.

I got off the tube at Fulham Road, took a left, and as I rounded the corner Stamford Bridge rose in the distance. I immediately felt a connection.

Been following the club since early 2003.

Stayed in the hotel at the stadium a few times. Going back in January for the Manu/Chelsea game at the bridge. Welcome aboard we have a thread and a game in a few hours. The area of Chelsea is very nice and inviting.

Yeah I would have loved to have seen a game. Our tour guide was from Florida of all places, and if we would have been around on Sunday I'm pretty sure he would have gotten us tickets. Had to get on a plane to come back home to a balmy SELA though.

I'd be careful feeling sorry for a guy who is a fan of a team with Jose Mourinho at the helm...

Is it ironic that I don't see the irony?
