I honestly think Guzan is a better all around keeper. No disrespect to Tim because he was absolutely amazing in the WC, but I've watched Brad develop into such a great goalie. Also I doubt Tim comes back to the USMNT.

Just because Howard did it, doesn't mean that Guzan couldn't. Most of those saves were pretty easy.

Your hate for both Howard and Jones has really backfired on you the past year.

I was the only one on here preaching the truth of Jermaine Jones.

Please tell me where I have hated on Howard. If anything, I've been showing my love for Guzan.

You're just pulling shite out of your arse saying I had been hating on Howard.

Well, he was usually a liability until the World Cup.

I will never forget the time Jermaine Jones decided to become world class during the World Cup. He was so fricking dominant.

I mean, I'm not going to post search you... but every time Timmy gave up a goal in 2013, you were always quick to bring up Guzan...

It was nearly as frequent as your Jones hate.

I really just can't say Guzan is better at this point.

Brad's hands aren't the greatest. Has a tendency to bobble some balls and even spill one here and there. Also feel that Timmy is a little quicker in his decision making. Brad seems to hesitate at times. Not that Tim is perfect, just feel he has a slight edge.

That being said, I do have full confidence in Brad when he's in goal. He really is a very good keeper, and the gap between he and Timmy is pretty small

Yeah, I think Timmy is still #1 if he comes back to the national team. Until that happens, or if it doesn't, Brad is definitely no slouch.

Lots of those saves were pretty routine. Great performance, nonetheless.

Not true. I have only been positive and definitely defended him before the WC.

One of my roommates (who unlike me has actually played and watched soccer his whole life and was pretty good playing for a nationally ranked top HS team) used to try to make this dumbass argument to our friends and I. At least he quit trying to make this dumbass argument after the last WC. You should do the same.

I agree about Timmy probably not coming back to USMNT though, I feel like his sabbatical would be done by now if he was looking to return to the team full-time before retirement.

ETA: Just re-read that and realized I sounded like an a-hole lol. Not saying you're a dumbass or totally wrong on this but I just don't see the point in arguing about it because there isn't an even remotely clear answer (although I personally prefer Howard).

Huh?

He said from the beginning that he was taking the year off.

It's only been 1 year. He hasn't even had a full off-season. I would start to worry if he hasn't made any comment by next summer. He's been a busy man for quite some time between US and Everton.
