Wish they would have worked the stage overhang in with the roof but at least they put in seating instead of an empty space like a couple of other stadiums. They also confirmed that it will seat 22 thousand with the ability to expand to 30.

I'd read in some places that there might be LED backlighting that would make portions of the structure glow orange. That could look interesting, if they pull it off right.

I have heard some talk of that also and I'm going to try to make it out for the ground breaking tomorrow to see if they announce anymore info on it. It would look pretty cool to have it glowing orange during a night game much like Allainz Arena.

Watching Ching Ching goal scoring machine light up Dallas for a hat trick here is going to be awesome.

Beautiful looking stadium at this point. They're smart to keep playing up the orange. They stand out in the league with it.

Did you go? I didn't get to but had a group of friends that went. Haven't talked to them about it yet.

Nope, my brother had his first kid this week and they had a party to welcome her home at the about the same time as the groundbreaking. Was going to leave early to make it out there but never did. I had a friend who went but I haven't gotten in contact with him yet and the Chronicle's reporter that covers the team is worthless so I haven't heard anything new.

Looks pretty sweet. Good to see American soccer stadiums up to par with the ones in Europe.
