Have you watched the US women or men live in another country? Where were you and how were you treated by opposing fans? What was it like wearing USA gear in the city before the game?
I've always thought it would be a blast to watch the USA in another country and interested to hear your experiences.
Thanks for your time

Spent much the 2014 WC in Europe. We were in Amsterdam for USA/Portugal. Found a few other Americans in town and had a blast, except for the last kick of the game.
We were in Munich for the USA/Germany WC match. Germans were reserved beforehand since they hadn't guaranteed a spot yet. After we both advanced, they were super-friendly and cool.
For USA/Belgium, we were high in the Swiss Alps. Swiss played Argentina early that day and lost, which wasn't a good omen for us. Swiss fans were obviously down, but still treated us great.

I saw the us play Italy in Genoa and France in Paris. Both were good experiences. I didn't wear my jersey to the Italy game because I didn't know much about the city and didn't want to cause trouble, especially since I was sitting with the rowdy section of Italian fans. I didn't really interact with anyone before during or after that game. The France game was cool because some French guy saw my friend wearing an American flag and decided to come hang with us. His dad was American and lived in San Francisco. So he made it his mission to smoke out some Americans. I had already had a bottle of wine so I ended up not remembering much of the game.

Watched the last women's WC in Vienna. I think the Austrians were just floored we cared about soccer at all, much less women's soccer. They enjoyed our antics and drank with us. It was a lot of fun.

I watched USA Ghana last year in Grenada on my honeymoon...... But it was at a Sandals and we were surrounded by Americans. So, I'm thinking it doesn't really count.

Yea been to friendly matches in London and Dublin. Great times. Wish I still lived in K-town when we played Germany.

Went to the friendly in Glasgow. That match made me want to rip my eyes out.

I was at the friendly in Vienna when we played Austria in 2013. I was with my girlfriend at the time whose family lived in Vienna, so I was treated great for the whole game. There were only maybe 50 other people there who were cheering for USA.
That game was shite, though. Nothing really to cheer about, and Austrians don't hold their heads too high in regards to soccer. It was a fun experience overall.
