Geoff Cameron Counterpoints Michael Bradley

quote:
"I believe it's important to support our president whether he was your candidate or not," said Cameron, who spent time with the U.S. team's medical staff over the past month but did not take part in training camp because of a knee injury. "I am pleased he is making security of all Americans one of his top priorities. Our enemies have stated -- and in Europe they have proven -- they will take advantage of lax immigration procedures for the purposes of staging attacks. A temporary pause on immigration for the purpose of evaluating and improving vetting procedures makes sense. "The United States is one of the most generous and compassionate nations. Our ability to care for and support countries and refugees in need resides in our own sense of security. If we don't feel safe, how can we protect others?"
Per espnfc.
I wonder who the media will ask next, and if that player will comment.
Maybe get Clint Dempsey's opinion.

Anecdotal - but the only place I see this statement is from my wife's oilfield relatives in Lafayette that thought Obama was going to instill Sharia Law at any moment.

I didn't vote for Trump and never will vote for him. I hope he turns out to be a good president because it would be foolish to hope he fails. However, I can't support him if he continues to make decisions that I'm strongly against.

Yea but we saw the opposite with 8 years of Obama and now the same with Trump.

I always liked him and now even more so, is he a texas baw? I know he played at Houston but I never looked at where he was born.

If you live in America, have you honestly been worried that ISIS is going to hurt you?
They are one of the things I'm worried about the least.

Its interesting to me that we can have some diverse opinions from American guys who have spent years living overseas.
Both have lived in Europe and seen the good and the bad of the immigration policies.
I just wish we could get to a place where people just didn't assign "evil" or "stupid" to any opinion that differs from their own because their delicate feelings can't handle anything else and it enables them to distance themselves from any possible dissent or examination of their own opinions. *steps off soap box*

Yes, well kinda. After the Christmas attacks in Germany and attacks in france I get reminded its very real and could happen in America, as seen by san bernadinho and Orlando. however I don't see it happening in LA or specifically any of the places I frequent. But that doesn't mean I don't think about it.
Also

I bet every person who died at the hands of radical Muslims felt the same way.
I hope Trump keeps this shite up. He's done more in three weeks than Obama did in eight years. Crazy how riled up every lib is getting about it too. Great to see Geoff having a fricking neck as well and standing with our country rather than siding with everyone thinking the world is going to end.

I wish you had the balls to say this to the family members of every Boston Marathon bombing victim's families.
