TITLE: What if we reallocated the 2022 World Cup?
This Tuesday, France Football led an investigation on the nomination, lacking in all apparent logic, of Qatar as the organizing country for the 2022 World Cup, carried out twelve years before the competition. The result is enlightening. Between acts of collusion and corruption, of which FF takes inventory in this Tuesdsay's edition, this nomination gives off an odor of scandal that forces us to ask the only question that matters: Should the vote be annulled? With these revelations, should WC 2022 be reallocated?

If anyone could do a World Cup on short notice, it'd be the U.S.

If there was ever a chance I hope that France is correct. Please.

ETA: That's probably poorly worded. I think everyone knows there were bribes. Let's just hope the French get something done about it.

I found this to be a little misleading. I thought you were talking about the French federation, not France Football magazine.

At this point does anyone really think there wasn't some sort of fluff money exchanged? And with the current leadership in the FIFA front office I can't see how there would ever be any kind of reallocation of anything.

I would have more hope of something being done if the French federation said they had proof.

Ah, I see what you're saying. That said, FFF isn't really an investigatory body like a media outlet.

I can understand that, but it sounds like the only hard evidence France Football has is an email.

Qatar getting the bid is evidence enough. That said, there is bribery in every WC bid including ours in '94.

If there is evidence of corruption and we get the World Cup, I may have to stop making jokes about France.
