He's headed to the Revolution to hook up with Charlie Davies.

I played against him a couple times in high school and he was pure class.

Congrats Pat

Philadelphia picked Andre Blake, a Jamaican goalkeeper, with the first overall pick. I guess Zac MacMath's days are numbered with the Union.

buddy of mine was a strength & conditioning GA at Maryland. hung out with the soccer guys a lot (went when they played DC United in a scrimmage last year) and said Patrick is a really nice, laid back dude. he should have a nice long MLS career.

Didn't he win the Hermann two years in a row?

Yep, one of only 5 players to do so.

LA has had 3 Hermann trophy winners in the past 10 years. Pretty solid.

Yep and a solid youth soccer infrastructure and a media market that could support an MLS team, but no MLS team.

Don't think we could support a team without some Honduran national teamers on the team regularly

Agreed. But, it would be very well supported if we did.

Yet we're close to the worst state in the region, of the worst region in the nation. No way would a MLS team survive here (IMO). Although I would support.

I'm not sure that Farrell ever coached him on the youth level. If he did, it was at the younger age. Mullins did play for Farrell with the Jesters some over the past couple of summers when he was home from school.

No, Kenny stopped coaching kids years ago and only recently has he attempted to start a new youth organization. Mullins did play for the Jesters though as someone posted.
