Same thing was happening to me in FUT using 3-4-2-1.
Well I'm in division 7 now and it's not happening anymore. That and other instances of frickery leads me believe scripting is back in full force

Abandoning my manager career I tried a player career. Set up Man U with the same formation and tactics beforehand (As I said I love it). Toughest difficulty, sliders to favor AI and all that jazz.
My 4 scores in the preseason cup were:
6-1
7-0
6-2
12-0
I beat Real Madrid, with most of their stars, 12 to fricking 0.

I've never experienced WC being harder. Sometimes when the CPU is cheesing they play like Legendary but not above it to me at least.

in the squad battles on ultimate team they have an option to put it on “ultimate”. I tried it because i was playing like a 65 overall team and i got dismantled 7-1 worse than i ever havr before. Im consistently in d1 and thats easily the best thing ive ever played against

Yeah, apparently world class is harder to a lot of people because it focuses more on keeping the ball and waiting for an open pass or cross.
Legendary is much more straightforward. It tries to embarrass you and attempts a lot more risky passes and shots, so you get the ball more. Probably a half of my games are me chasing the computer and getting megged like 10 times before I manage to get it back

Can confirm. Have a much better record against legendary than WC.
Was pummeling WC in the demo, so maybe they fricked up the difficulties in release.

it always matches you with similar star level teams...when I played seasons I always tried to pick a team that's in the upper tier of their star level. Unfortunately this makes playing with the lower end teams basically pointless. Using a team like Chelsea means you're going to be severely overmatched because you're going to get Barcelona or Real Madrid

I figured that. Just wasn't sure if stars were matched exactly, teams within 1 star matched, etc...
