im doing alright on ultimate team. i can never save coins though. i always get an average team started and then just buy packs. i don't play with the transfer market AT ALL. i will occasionally decide to save for someone, but it's rare. more than likely, ill play a season and then buy as many premium gold packs as i can with that seasons winnings. packs are fun and they make it so i never have to buy contracts or anything. not a coin making strategy but i dont care.
this year, i went with bundesliga guys for the americans angle. playing with pulisic, fabian, wood, chandler, brooks.
it's a good time. im straight up to division 8 so far. will probably play more tomorrow/maybe later tonight.
once i get a feel for the game, i will play a lot of regular online seasons. it's definitely a different game mode than ultimate team, but i can get my feel for any changes to gameplay there before i head to online seasons where i really, really care about results

complete wrong way to do it lol usually you wont get anytging worth a shite out of a pack and for the same amount of money you just spent you could be a couple quality players off the transfer market

Thanks to your post, i tinkered with the 3atb formations and landed on the 3412. Scoring at a much higher rate now. Giovinco and IF Josef running wild up top.

Career Mode on this game is unplayable. I'm running a 4-2-3-1. Striker is a false 9. Both outside mids are crashing the box on crosses, and all 3 attacking mids along with the striker are free to roam in attack. Both outside backs are overlapping aggressively in attacks.
The outside mid or striker, depending on which attacks the back side, is ALWAYS wide open on the back post, and I'm not exaggerating. They are never picked up by anyone on the defense.
Difficulty is world class.

This doesn't sound like a career mode-exclusive problem. Might be a cheese formation, like NCAA used to have with certain plays.

This is what I was thinking, but I love the formation and have used it for several years. I think it may be the tactics.

Is that not the toughest? I have it set on whatever the toughest is.
Also have some sliders that try to enhance the AI defense, but they don't seem to affect much.
