You can see my post above. I had the same problem after first season. I ended up taking a job with an established Championship league team and then took them to the PL. My transfer budget stays around $0.00 because I'm trying to acquire and keep good players. I mainly only acquire strikers and use my Academy to build up defensive players. I assume in a season or two my budget will increase if I'm able to keep winning.

I finally finished the first season of my Colchester United save. I finished 4th in the table and got to League One through the playoff.

Why do I play this fricking game. I have neur in goal and butland outplays him every time I face him. Which is 7/10 matches. I hope the EA president gets his dick ripped off in a conveyor belt

I'm thinking about getting a PS4 for the first time and I need a game to hold me over until The Show comes out. Is FIFA the game I should get. I loved 14 on the PS3, is this game that good? I would only play Manager Mode, I don't play online. Can I get a quick rundown of the game, so I don't have to read the whole thread?

Manager mode is all I've been playing on 17, I like it a lot.
But my manager rating has plummeted 15 points just for not using "academy players"..... who I can't even play because the youth academy is grayed out
The graphics are really good, about the only problem with manager mode is sometimes the computer does some total bullshite to win it

Same for me actually. Have an opportunity to buy a used PS4 and might pull the trigger

Finished top of the table and earned automatic promotion to the Goatship. I decided to hold on to Dempsey could of gotten some decent coin for him. His skills are fading as he is now only rated 76. May try to get something for him at the end of the season. My free transfers are all mid to low 70's and 25-28 years old. In the first window I picked up on free trandfer an Italian CDM who was 20 years and he is sort of glitched Some of the screens show him as rated 66 some show him as 73. He is 20 and an exciting prospect D'Ollio or something like that. Also started my first season in the Goatship with just 5 million transfer budget. Spent that and money from preseason tourney to buy a 5* 5* youth scout.

You have to use youth scouts to find players, then have to sign them to the team. Once you do that, you then use them in regular games.

It's a known fact that there's rubber banding in the game's code. A guy on OS found it earlier this year.

I was playing vs Bayern last night and Boateng legit rugby tackled my forward from behind no where near the ball and nothing called.
Also Koln scored on me with two ball in play one of them sitting in the six yard box.

Momentum or rubber banding is a better term, but it's not scripting, because the code didn't show results were already determined, but if say you had 70+ possession, 4+ shots on goal, etc.... over the first 15 minutes on in-game time then the computer would up it's play in some way.

I've been in division 3 in FUT for a week or two now and missed out on promotion by a point twice. I've recently acquired a Ronaldo card and play him at LF in a 3-4-2-1. 21 goals and 7 assists in 16 games which is easily my best goal to game ratio since I've start playing FIFA in '15. The only one close through this many games was IF Zlatan last year but he was averaging about 1 per game. It's not like he's banging everything home that he gets his feet on, his off the ball movement, positioning, and aggression are the most OP aspects of the card. I bet 8 of those 21 goals are headers, and another 8 are just from superior positioning on counters resulting in 1v1 with keeper. He's really only hit in a few that were good tough shots.
I've tinkered with a lot of formations this year because I haven't been able to find one that offers the best of both worlds in defense and attack. The way I see it at this point, you can play 5 at the back and you're still going to give up goals in this game, so I do what I can on defense and just try to score in buckets. 3-4-2-1 has been the best attacking formation I've used by a long shot, and with two central midfielders with decent defending stats (modric and lallana) I don't give up a ton of goals unless I'm just playing someone that's really good and was going to score goals anyway

All I play is pro clubs now. The game is just too frustrating. At least with pro clubs I can play with friends and I have no expectations.
