Playing for Albania over Belgium seems strange but I guess he has a stronger connection to him. Been a pretty good game for him but don't throw a parade just yet this is Sunderland after all.

Granit Xhaka and Shaqiri both really want to play for Kosovo but are forced to play for Switzerland. It's an ethnic thing for the former Yugoslavs

good and bad about playing for Belgium, the country is a melting pot with multiple languages, but it seems like their players want to kill each other out there

I met a girl from Belgium at the bar once. She came from a Flemish background. I think they all agree they hate the Dutch though.

Everyone, especially on here, praises the shite out of Belgium, but the 3 or so times I've seen them play I was underwhelmed considering their hype.

They literally all speak english,french, dutch and german. It just depends what town they are from. I had this chick break it down for me in Croatia when i was shite canned.
Last month i was in Antwerp at a festival and was in shock when this chick who was hitting on me could barley speak english

They haven't really been pretty to watch offensively during WCQs but they definitely have gotten the job done. They have a +13 GD so far and have been rock solid defensively.
It will be interesting to see what they do next week in the wake Kompany's injury. Probably won't matter though (up 5 on Croatia with 2 games left, they play Croatia next), barring a major collapse.
