I've just been informed from two directions that Maurice Edu is physically headed to Stoke to complete a deal. The Potters' loan swoop for Spurs man Tom Huddlestone has fallen through, pushing the Rangers midfielder up in line. I am working to confirm if/when the move has been finished, as well as any additional details. Stay tuned... - Greg Seltzer
LINK. He mentions in the comments that Boca will move as well.
Obviously not particularly excited that it's Stoke but it's still a big step up from Rangers or Ipswich. This still isn't official yet but it sounds like this deal is nearly done, Seltzer doesn't normally spill the beans until he's positive. This move should keep Mo in the picture for the USMNT as well.

frick you Stoke! Quit buying Americans. It makes it hard to cheer for them when they play for a club I hate. In seriousness good move for him. Hope he succeeds.

If they have 3 Americans I have no choice but to like them, and If they got rid of shawcross somehow they'd move up to 2nd place behind arsenal

How can you be an Arsenal and Stoke City fan? I understand they have Americans on the team but you can pull for them without pulling for the anti-football kings.

You people care WAY too much about the past

Brek to stoke and they are instant contenders.

Stoke isn't a "rival" of Arsenal.. That's like saying Miss St is an LSU rival.

They are the anti-Arsenal. And they fricking suck.
Americans or not, they get negative love from me.
Only time I would root for them is against Tottenham or on the final day of the season if we had a chance to win the title based upon their result.

I'll never support Stoke, as long as Pulis is in charge. They play a violent and shitty type of football.
I admit it will be good experience for our guys. I'll support the Americans and not the team, much like I do with every other American playing abroad.

quote:You are wrong. There is so much bad blood between the two teams due to the Ramsey incident and other ridiculous tackles Stoke has made. And its a philosophical thing. Arsenal represents how football should be played and Stoke with the rugby tatics are anti-football. Not to mention the two managers hate each other. Just because they aren't the same level as far as success goes doesn't mean it isn't a fierce rivalry. Watch Sunday and you will see.
