Of the 10 qualifiers thus far, 7 will be here and only two in France.

European countries historically don't do well in World Cups in our part of the world.

I think part of the reason for the 2016 version will be to see if it's feasible to transition to an official FIFA sanctioned North/South America tourney to mirror the Euros

Has FIFA agreed to make it an official date and release players? Last I read that was up in the air.. Though if the dates mirror Euro I assume the point is moot.
