it´s a famous quote from the mythical Real Madrid striker Juanito, informing 1970´s Inter de Milán fans and players that their jubilation over their 2-0 win in Milán, was premature:

quote:

"Ninety minutes in the Bernabéu are very long" Juanito

Real Madrid won the return leg, 5-1.

This is said every time an adverse first leg result is brought to the Bernabéu (for second leg resolution).

Should be getting on my flight to Madrid in the next hour. I still haven't gotten my tickets from viagogo though. I did get an email saying I have there ticket protection and should receive them in the next 24hrs. I'm getting nervous

I may be way, way behind the times, but how long has Messi had that sleeve?

Just googled that. The sleeve looks awful. I thought I read something at some point that Messi was not a fan of tattoos. Apparently he changed his mind.

Fair enough. FWIW, I'm definitely rooting for Real Madrid the rest of the way.

Massimiliano Allegri has faith in his team but is fully aware that the match will be no picnic for Juventus.

The game of his life: "It's the most important match of my career. We believe we can secure ourselves a place in the Berlin final".

The Bernabéu: "They will be 95 long and seemingly endless minutes. It's impossible to manage a result when you're up against Real Madrid, even more so at their home ground. It's a special game".

Pogba: "He's in good shape, there's a good chance he will start".

What do Juve need to bring to the game?: "We can't just think about defending. We have to get the ball away from Real Madrid and avoid danger. We have to play with calm. As opposed to Monaco, it is highly unlikely this game will end 0- 0. We need to play with a lot of courage".

Morata: "He's found continuity and has come on a lot. He has grown physically, technically and has matured mentally".

Tevez: "He's an extraordinary striker. He steers the team when the going gets tough. He's a pleasure to watch on the field".

Benzema: "Benzema's presence won't change anything at all about how we play".

Sorry Madrid.

They should just give the trophy to Barca already.

I'll respond to this after the tie today.

There are reasons to believe that Madrid can compete with and beat Barca. It doesn't matter at all unless we can get through today.

Taking a late lunch today to catch the first half.

Juve probably lines up in a 5-3-2. Gonna be tough to break through on them, and having Pogba back could be huge.

I'm interested to see who starts up top for Real. A healthy Benzema or the messican
