I'd be surprised if either he or Roman could swallow their pride enough to make it happen but I would love to see it happen. If not Jose I'd like Guus to come back.

Any chance we give that beast another look next season? I can't believe we sent him packing so Mikel could play every game.

It's the first smart thing he has done in a while. I would have probably had Marin in for Benayoun or Mikel for Ake though and Ba rather than Torres but guys need a break. Glad he went with this kind of lineup.

ETA: Hazard has had a lot of time off recently so he should be available to come on early in the 2nd half if needed.

How quickly will you take that back if we lose?

It's all about top 4 at this point. If we can't beat Boro with any squad we put out there we don't deserve to win anything anyway. I'd love to win the Cup again but top 4 is far and away top priority. I hope to see this exact kind of lineup from here on out in Europa too.

Who is going to replace Rafa tomorrow? Anyone? How long does it take to appoint a new coach?

It was really dumb of him to say, but I don't disagree with anything he said.

Well it was well known before he was even hired that it wasn't going to be well received but this just adds fuel to the fire.

I say let him be gone now. At least it will rally the supporters and probably the players as well.

What stirred this up today after a 2-0 win? Normally I'd think he'd be happy with a win not calling for his sacking.

I'm not sure but I read some tweets that the fans were being very vocal with songs and banners about Rafa. Maybe it finally got to him.

Maybe so. Everyone has their breaking point. Just seemed like an odd time to announce it.

Today was one of the first good days he's had so it's strange.

Seriously though, just walk now. Let Terry take the team over until the end of the season. When he leads us to the Cup and top 3 finish it will add to his legend.

I have no clue who is going to coach the rest of the season, but I'd have a heart attack if Rafa wasn't "former Interim" manager as of tomorrow. I would understand what he said if the fans were singing and booing the team. They aren't. They are showing their displeasure with Rafa. Someone please convince me that this team has slightly improved under Rafa. The mistake wasn't hiring Rafa, it was letting RDM not finish the season. Apparently Rafa gave almost the word for word speech to other forms of media as well. It was a clear plan of his. Bye Rafa. The club will go on, you just committed career suicide.

I really don't think he gave a shite to be honest. He was probably just sick and tired of the crap he had to put up with.

It was a couple of sound bites, not the state of the union... I doubt it was planned... probably just sick of the moron fans..

Me too, knowing Roman.

Yeah, that's what he said: "I really feel disappointed with a group of fans, because they don't do any favours to the team. They should support the players instead of wasting time preparing banners or singing songs [against him]." He's saying a vocal group of fans is putting more effort into whining about him then they are into cheering for their team. Which is true...they strolled to a 2-0 win today and some fans were still chanting against him. That's bush league.

Bingo.

I'm sure he'll find another job just fine. He's not going to get treated at other clubs the way he's been treated at Chelsea.

Honestly, I understand what you are saying, but WTF did he expect? He has had a negative attitude towards Chelsea in the past.
