Malmo's manager hates Deila.

Didn't Basel have an issue with anti-Semitism at one of their matches last year?

Wil people be excited if Celtic make it threw?

Yeah, Lazio and Leverkusen played a pretty entertaining Europa league tie a couple of seasons ago.

I hate that half the teams in the top column will make it to the group stage and half of the bottom column won't. They should scrap the Champions Route/League Route deal and throw all these teams into one pot to determine who gets in.

It's the Champion's League.

Explain.

I was speaking strictly on getting the best teams in the field of 32. I don't know all the ins and outs of how they determine who plays who in order to qualify for the group stage.

I get that dude. I was just saying it's a bummer that some really good clubs from better leagues won't make it through to the group stage and Astana or Apoel will.

Then they should win their leagues.

then why make that post

the teams who make the champions league and do well get seeded higher and the ones who have to go through the playoff depending on what league they play in enter at different stages.

I get what you are saying but when clubs like that make it to the group stage they have earned it.

Valencia have their work cut out for them... They're of course still expected to go through but Monaco will be as tough a test as any of these teams.

It'll be a major disappointment if they don't advance.

CSKA vs. Sporting will be good, but it would have been more interesting if Marat Izmaylov was still on Sporting.
