lol by the time the EPL season starts the British economy will probably already be stronger than that of the rest of Europe. The Britains have dominated Europe for a thousand years and now that they've rid themselves of the yoke of the Western European limp wrists they will become stronger than ever.

Rule Britannia!

This is from a Chelsea perspective, but it highlights how Premier League clubs might be affected by Brexit

Nothing to worry about. When London secede back to the EU it'll be business as usual for Chelsea.

The only big thing I see as a loss is the U18 exemption, which was a good thing for both players and clubs.

I know. It was supposed to be a jab at that petition started today from the citizens of London that got 30,000 signatures in the first 20 minutes.

Also, Randy Savage and his Rule Brittania post. Amusing because the Chelsea fans are fanatically in favor of the EU.

Not saying you're wrong because I'm no expert on the politics of individual British communities but the majority sentiment on The Shed (The Chelsea website message board) seems that most people are happy and are laughing off the fear mongering economy predictions.

It was an incredible over generalization on my part. London, by and large, is very strongly in favor of staying. I don't know the breakdown by borough, but based on the people I know who live in the area there seemed to be a lot of support for the EU. That could be a deceptive sample group though.

Yea, like I said, I really have no idea. I know London voted to stay but I browsed the first 4-5 pages of the Shed this morning and it seemed pretty in line with the general vote. Mostly split with a slight majority happy to be gone.
