Brek Shea is baaaaaccckkk!

I think he looked great on the backline. In JK position changes I trust. Was it not his idea from the Chile game to start Shea in the back? I guess Orlando City is doing the same.

I know that American players being back in the MLS is not JK's fav but I do believe it is better than them sitting on the bench in Eurpoe. A lot of them looked really good this weekend.

Shea played LB long before JK put him there against Chile.

Well, it helped that NY had just about zero attacking presence on shea's side of field. He was basically allowed to play LM almost the whole game.

I do like the idea, but itll be interesting to watch him get tested on D.

you thinking all that time in the championship he wouldn't have that in his game

Nope.

Schellas Hyndman tried it when Shea was at FC Dallas and it was a complete disaster.

Perhaps he has improved his game in the 3 years he has been elsewhere but back then he flat out did not have the discipline required to be a defender.

Or the work ethic. I can't see him ever be anything more than a fringe player for the US.
