i know most fans were creaming their pants at the very thought of a European-style USA that played the ball on the ground and outpassed people, but we just don't have the players for that and won't anytime soon

Well he talks about playing a style like that but then starts 3 defensive mids at once.

I'm ok with losing/drawing if we are playing that style with players that are at least trying to play that style. But it is completely unacceptable to lose/draw when you go away from that philosophy and use 3 DCMs.
