That must be an old bid that Lyon is reporting to dispute the newspaper's claim we bid 48. I remember reading that West Ham bid 40 and were rejected. Why would we bid lower than 40 after that was already rejected by Lyon?

Apparently the Lacazette bid was from earlier in the summer and we haven't bid again.

Yeah I think that bid was from the beginning of summer and it was before WHU bid as well. We just never formally counteroffered, probably decided for the price to look elsewhere.
Getting another high level striker may not be ultimately needed if Mahrez is bought, since goals will be coming in from him and Sanchez, will most likely need a depth buy and/or cover for when Giroud goes through one of his dry spells.

I remember watching Jeff last year in preseason and thinking I wouldn't be concerned if he had to start a couple games.
His potential is limitless. Interested to see where he fits long term positionally.

I think that Per in a full body cast would be almost the same as fully healthy Per.

not sure if anyone here follows arsenal on snapchat, but they posted a video today of wilshere "reporting" from the locker room after training today. he asked coquelin what he'd been up to and he said "been playing center back but we'll see". he definitely seemed to have a "i don't know about this..." tone in his voice
