It just seems like we play so much better with Coq in - who takes that pure defensive role if he gets hurt or needs a rest?

Arteta. Flamini in emergencies, although there's word he'll be sold. Maybe Bielik will be ready for some time this year, though I highly doubt it. Chambers, too.

Jack has also shown with England he can play that role very well, though Wenger doesn't like him there.

I wouldn't mind another buy there, but Coq with Arteta as depth is very good.

Thought they made a good point on today's Arsecast Extra. It is a super tricky situation because what happens to Coquelin if you go out and buy a player over him.

If Arsenal bought Coquelin for 25 million and he played as well as he did we would all be going nuts. Arsene made that point and I think it's a very valid one. Coq was immense last season and very central to Arsenal's 2015 form. I'm 100% behind Coq but one injury and Arsenal are back to square one. An injury always seems inevitable and after Coq, there's nobody I feel comfortable with for large stretches of games.

Tried asking in the other thread, who has been to a game at the Emirates? I know some of you have.

I signed up for the membership to buy tickets. Does anyone know if you can buy multiple tickets? Or is it one ticket per mebership? They don't do a good job at explaining this on the website.

I would also be okay with no more major signings. But I'd be ecstatic with one more big signing.

As someone said on the other thread, while midfield looks solid with Coq as DM, one major injury and we look thin again. I'm not ready to trust even a healthy Arteta as a holding mid for a PL championship side.

Me too. We don't need either Pedro or Reuss, but we would be a lot better and deeper with either of them.

Never really thought about that. This is true. I guess if Coq goes down you got Arteta

No Welbz for the Asia Tour.

Welbeck has still not recovered from the bruising to the bone on his knee that forced him to miss Arsenal's FA Cup win over Aston Villa, their final league matches and England's summer internationals against Republic of Ireland and Slovenia.

With Alexis out for the first few weeks of the season, Welbeck has a real chance to get some starts out wide. Poor timing.
