and i agree chamberlain deserves some play time but who would you take out in his favor? at this point in a game against chelsea his best position is a super sub at about the 60'-70' mark. dudes a game changer for sure, just not the player to take starting spots away from regular starters

yea as much as i love ramsey in the middle i cant see him getting the nod over santi. until he proves otherwise santi is the best choice.

Well, Ramsey was the best player the season before.

I really think Arsene's going to try to find a way to play Ramsey, Ozil, Santi, and Alexis (when he's back) together, which means Ramsey or Ozil will be shifted wide, Ramsey 99.9% of the time.

Ox has been excellent in the preseason but hasn't done enough to displace any of those four. Theo will get more run centrally when Alexis returns.

And I won't rule out the 4-1-4-1 making a return this year.

------------Cech-------------
Bellerin--Per---Kosc----Nacho
-------------Coq-------------
Alexis--Santi--Ramsey--Ozil
------------Giroud-----------

Bench: Ospina, Jack, Theo, Arteta, Gabriel, Gibbs, Debuchy

Squad: Chambers, Rosicky, Welbeck, etc

I think we'll see more Theo in the middle, too.

Of course, we are Arsenal and will sustain injuries.

Wenger made the mistake of trying Ozil out wide at the beginning of last season. It was a complete failure as Ozil does not have the qualities of an outside midfielder/winger. Ozil is so much better starting centrally. Its like night and day. Ozil being central allows him to drift outside when Alexis or Ramsey(when on the right) come inside allowing for a balanced free flowing attack. When Ozil starts outside he just tends to drift in and out of games and he doesn't provide the defensive cover of the other options. I know people want to play Ramsey centrally and he is more than capable but why sacrifice the balance we found the second half of last season?

Walcott and Cazorla sign contract extensions.
At 140k per week I guess its safe to say Walcott will be given every chance at striker.

Cazorla and Walcott sign new deals

Love me some Santi. Glad to see he'll be around a bit longer!

Also if ozil is played out wide to start the year again I will lose it.

Seemed like Arsene learned his lesson about that last season. I don't think he played wide once after reclaiming his starting spot post-injury.

Trust me. I don't want to see Ozil wide. I thought we were really good with Ramsey on the right. Let Ox and Jack fight for spots and provide depth and rotation when Alexis comes back, Theo vs. Giroud in the center. The rest should look familiar.

Looks like Nacho is going to sign an extension also. He was so consistently good for us last season.
