Seeing as I've played wingman masterfully for half of these dudes I doubt it. I'm on the verge of an engagement anyway.

Not everything is about you. You said the board cares. I said they don't. Self absorbed much?

He's definitely not useless. He can play in the CL qualifying rip ounces, which is always a tricky tie. While having him out six games is annoying, that could be beneficial on the back end of the season, as he could feature more, especially if we aim to actually compete for trophies.

He'd miss the Tottenham match. That could be a big deal.

Sit on it. Next year we will have more to spend, for actual good players. We could be the next Man City if we play our cards(money) right.

I think this is needlessly conservative. We don't know if a player the caliber of Suarez will even be available. Also next year is a WC year when prices for even average players are inflated. I understand why some people want to sit on money, but I think the influx of money we are getting from sponsorship makes it pointless. I mean, no other team would sit on 200 mil in cash reserves. I'd find it hard to believe any business would forgo an opportunity to invest in growth, especially when the outlay would be covered by additional revenue,

I've never acted like you're stupid. I think its badass that a girl posts on here and actually knows what the hell she's talking about. I just wish you wore a different shade of red. We need a female Scouser's input something bad in that sausage fest of a Pool thread.

If the investment was risky, they may not go for it. Suarez isn't risky, but at 55M£, he is. Just saying.

Why would I start the season relying on the end? A good manager wants to start on top and stay there, not work his way up

Well it's a long season. In the past couple of seasons we've either started strongly to fade at the end or we've struggled at the beginning only to come on strong at the end. We need a team deep enough to compete along multiple fronts deep into the season. We aren't there yet. We are close but we need two players at the minimum.

Maybe next year you'll get the next Kleberson or Odonkor

Save the money and get two next season. Why waste on an inflated Suarez this year that doesn't help until next year?

If we can afford Suarez now, we can afford anyone at anytime. I don't see it as waste. It's an investment which has a probability of not working. We will survive a bad investment, if that turns out what this is. We are in our strongest financial position ever and we will only get stronger as new deals come online. Our commercial position is tenuous, and we need to make a splash this season to increase our brand image, as we are losing ground to the other big clubs because we aren't winning titles. Commercial revenue is the future, and we need to invest in the playing squad now to maximize that potential.

Why spend it next year? Save it again and you can get 3 players the following year! Or, you could save it again... the possibilities are endless, really.

We've been saving money for the last eight years. The first year we actually come into money, and you guys don't want to invest? That is needlessly and dangerously conservative. It's not like if Suarez doesn't work out we won't be able to afford our wages. We are in a strong financial position, and we wouldn't spend the money, or even think about spending the money if we couldn't make it back easily.

We'll go ahead and disagree on that one. Glass, me, Bobloblaw, Beast, Beezy, Bho, DB_10, LSURed, Xavier, TFTC are all very good friends. I also enjoy those on this board that I haven't had the pleasure of meeting. I would hate them to leave the daily discussion and never come back. It may not be everyone, but a large contingent of this board is as as close nit as a message board gets.

Ok now you're being stupid. I'm doing the opposite of trolling. I'm talking about caring about the people in this thread. I have no idea how that is trolling. Sorry for enjoying your company Arsenal fans.

It's a bad investment. Terrible. The talks have broken down anyway.

Henderson, as far as waiting, you're the kid that money burns a hole in his pocket; just because you have you don't need to spend it.
