We brought out A team pretty much to the last Gold Cup. What's the difference with this one? It looks more like a roster auditioning for a World Cup squad spot. Is it because the gold cup is now every two years? Is it because no Jurgy?

I hope lichaj plays at RB and zusi stays his arse on the bench. Would have preferred some of the prelim guys over the final roster, like Sapong over Morris

A few reasons. Mexico's A team is at the Confederations Cup. We just had qualifiers, so starters need a break. Possible last chance for some guys to enter the conversation of being on the WC roster. Etc.

If we brought the A team, most wouldnt have had a summer free of a national team tourny commitment in a while.
We had the must-win Gold Cup, followed by last years Copa, and the WC is next year. Thats alot of summer mins.

Excited to see what Morrow and Roldan can do for the USMNT. They've been in good form in MLS.
