Will Bruin = paid too much

Guy has averaged 10+ goals/season since he's played major minutes. I mean, that about what you pay when a striker in is their 5 year in the league scoring in double digits consistently.

A bit overpaid, but hardly worth pointing out. Houston has little talent as is and spends very little.

So 51k is the minimum? That's not too bad. I'd take that and play some MLS.

That's pretty bad especially in most these city's and if they have a family. 51k that means your other half is working as well.

Once I include my housing and food money I make more as an E-5

51k is pretty low yet it is an improvement from just a couple of years ago when it was around 35k. Hopefully it will move to around 75k soon. I would like to see it get around 100k within the next few years.

Looks like my friend on DC U was making $40K when he came into the league with Chicago Fire, 7 years later he is up to $75K ($85K guaranteed). As a backup that isn't too shabby, however he has no work experience in his college degree field. That will set him back when he hangs them up in a few.

MLS is such a joke. Players make less than 25% of the leagues revenue

How does that compare to the premier league? I would think EPL pays players much less than that, but I could be off base in that assumption.

You're telling me that teams that earn 70 million just from TV every year are spending 75% of their total revenue on player salaries? Because I don't believe it. Show me a link to said statistics and maybe I'll believe you.

that salary is working for 6 months. they also get free healthcare, transportation and housing subsidies, free clothing, free meals during practice and game days, per diem for road games, postseason bonuses, and endorsement deals.

edit: servicemembers get alot of that too but nowhere near the level of professional athletes.
