Gregory Garza put in a full 90 for the Xolos this weekend.

Hoping to see him suit up for the full national team sometime soon.

Everton interested in MB90.
Again.

Also, this is promising:

According to a source close to the club, the US star has become a fast favorite of new manager Rudi Garcia and can expect frequent use during the coming campaign.

Multiple teams interested in Boyd.
Club says he's not for sale, but Lazio see him as a cost effective option and some clubs in the Championship and even the EPL are supposedly looking at him, too.

Everton would be interesting for him. A midfield with both Michael Bradley and Marouane Fellaini would be pretty talented and fun to watch*. But as long as Garcia likes Bradley, I don't have any problems with him staying in Rome even if he is coming off the bench a bit more than last season, though I would like to see him on TV more often.

* Although I now see that they see his as a MF replacement, so I guess that both in the same midfield isn't very likely.

I'd be extremely surprised if Roma chose to sell Bradley. He's shown he's good enough to play a major part on a CL caliber squad and he's also a fan favorite as well.

Even though we signed Strootman and the first choice midfield three will likely be Strootman, De Rossi and Pjanic, Bradley still figures to play a lot in rotation.

At Lille, Garcia often used three stronger tackling midfielders together so I tend to think that Bradley's time won't be just limited to subbing De Rossi or Strootman. Even though the attack was missing every single player aside from Totti against the MLS All Stars the midfielders were all available and I don't think it was just an experimental friendly type lineup that saw De Rossi, Strootman and Bradley all play together.

I hate Pjanic because of the MLS All Star game. He can get fricked, imo

It's kind of strange in that Pjanic's main criticism at Roma has been a lack of "fight" or "aggression" -- so much so that both previous managers mentioned he needs to play with more of a chip on his shoulder. The only time I've seen him pissed in 2 seasons at Roma was at Zeman for subbing him off once.

I was watching but only saw the cameras show right after he first got pissed at Donovan but didn't see what Donovan had done.

Agree that his little message sending foul and gesture was pretty douchy but I didn't see exactly what had set him so much a few minutes before.

Donovan went down after he got fouled on a fast break. Pjanic thought it was a dive, I think.

wm72, what is it about Bradley that makes him a fan favorite, and how do you know he's a fan favorite?

When I went to that Chievo game where I got to meet him, it was pretty obvious he was a fan favorite. There were American flags in the stands, lots of people lining up to talk to him after the game (and he talked to all of them [in Italian] and was very friendly), and the stewards all told me that they thought Bradley was awesome.

It was cool seeing an American star in a foreign commercial.

Re: Bradley's playing time, the article I posted seems to say that he will get significant playing time since the coach really likes him. Also, the announcers for the all-star game kept raving about how well Bradley and Strootman worked together. Hopefully that means that Pjanic takes a back seat to the both of them and only comes on late if a goal is needed. Plus, Strootman did a great job of pushing forward into threatening positions. Not sure if that is his normal role or if he was just taking advantage of lax MLS all star defending.

at this point, I'd rather see Bradley stay at Roma. They're a bigger club with more potential. They have UCL aspirations, with a legit chance of actually qualifying.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but apparently Agudelo has signed a pre-contract with Stoke.

That's great that you were able to see him in Verona.

Like you mention, that he's so available to fans and makes the effort to learn/speak Italian (which many, like Stekelenberg, don't in the least) are big reasons.

The main thing though, I think, is that Bradley's quite a "character" and with his shaved head and no nonsense blue collar work ethic. It plays into the whole American WWII soldier mythology that still resonates quite positively in Italy and granddads to ultras to schoolchildren love to call him Il Marine.

Roma's a pretty big club but one who's fan base has historically delighted in bigger than life characters more that the few actual trophies. Bradley simply stands out in this regard.

I think that it was Donovan who went in really late/hard on Pjanic at the beginning of the second half.

It screamed retaliation. Pjanic's tackle wasn't anywhere near a legal challenge.

Awesome response, thanks man.

How do they feel about his play? Anything to take away besides the fact that he hustles?

I was thinking Donovan had to have gone in hard on him as I've just never seen Pjanic get so pissed except once when he let out a long stream of Bosnian unpleasantries at Zeman after being yanked. His retaliation was still douchy.

From BILD: "Brooks tends quite strongly to accept the #USMNT invitation of Jurgen Klinsmann and to give a rejection to Hrubesch first."

Horst Hrubesch is the Germany u21 coach, apparently the Germans still want him.

Now we need to lock up Julian Green.

Green is playing for Germany U19s next week. He played for our U18s last year. Seems to be having trouble making up his mind. We need to qualify for the World Cup so we can try to cap tie some people
