5th, 3rd, 1st, 2nd since the money really started flowing. they haven't exactly shite the bed since they got a sugar daddy.

I think at this point (obviously tons can change before the window closes) they're title favorites. pelli pelli, ferby, dreamy eyes, al is better business than any other contender has done, by far. and they might be adding steffie.

Based on their primary competition on those years, and the amount of money they spent, they should have ran away with the title in at least 2 of those years. They barely won once.

United were a good team those years. But it was because they didn't make mistakes. A lot of people think out of all of United's title teams the last few years have been some of their weakest (which is more a testament to how incredible that club is run than anything negative it may suggest). City should have easily taken advantage of that, but they couldn't

I agree we should have performed better, but saying we have shite the bed is not entirely accurate. QPR, while a different scenario, is the definition of shitting the bed.

I don't think they shite the bed. It's just super hard to win a league title when Fergie is your neighbor. Pellegrini is by some ways a better attacking coach than Mancini, so their performances should improve. It's hard to win titles now with defensive teams. The only teams that can really do it are Mourinho coached teams, but even then his offensive game is super underrated.

I think he's a nice get, but I don't think he's any better than the 2 strikers they lost in the past year or the two they have on the books now..

I think Negredo is a step down from Tevez and Balo, in terms of pure talent. But he does produce goals so he might work for Pelle's system.

Man City is very good, but not because they got Negredo.

Well that too. I guess shite the bed was too strong a phrase. Soundly underachieving would be more accurate.

You prem people better get ready. Citeh´s gonna come out fairly lackluster, and gradually improve.

They will be a well oiled match winnin´machine come November.

I don´t care who he´s got on the roster.

Agreed. They'll be much, much better this year. Its between them and Chelsea, IMO. But that's just because every ounce of my homerism wants to believe Moyes lays an egg (if you can call 3rd place laying an egg).

All down to Mancini. He was awful in Europe for Inter as well.
