Fox really stepping up to the plate here. Hope there is plenty at stake

Granted I don't have a few of those channels, but its going to be awesome to be able to flip to 5 or 6 different channels and find a live EPL game

Fox Sports is set to ramp up attention around EPL Relegation Sunday, the league’s final day of the season, and today will announce plans for coverage of nine games under the "Survival Sunday" banner. All 10 EPL matches will be carried live in the U.S. on May 13. Fox will carrying its nine contests on its cable channels and broadband sites, including FX, Speed, FSN, Fuel TV, Fox Soccer Channel, Fox Soccer Plus, Fox Deportes, FoxSoccer.com and FOX Soccer 2Go. ESPN will carry the other match. The networks have not decided the games each network will carry.

Does anyone think we ever get to this point every weekend?
Posted on 4/19/12 at 9:35 am to BraveTiger225
I think so. Viewership will keep growing as Soccer gets more and exposure and media coverage. And it helps that games are all early morning. What could FX and FSN and Speed or ESPN family of networks be showing that would get higher ratings?

I think it will get there eventually. Popularity of soccer is definetly on the rise. Plus it seems like there are a bunch of random networks looking to get their foot in the door. Yesterday even Cowherd was saying no major networks want to spend millions on the Olympics anymore, they want to use all their money to get the World Cup

My how far we've come....

Espn and college football will keep them out of it. But fox or :ahem: NBC could really step up

true football would cut back on fall coverage. But during the spring theres not much for them to show in the mornings?

Yes, I think there will be a package to get every game eventually first in EPL and then maybe in other major leagues. It would be like the current DirecTV packages for football, basketball, baseball, hockey, etc.

Relegation day is one of the best footy days of the year in my opinion. Can't wait for the Euro's this year as well!

Last year was crazy...every goal changed the table

Remember Birmingham hit that one in like the 80th or something thinking they kept themselves up. The fans went absolute ape shite. Then someone else (Wolves maybe? Or was it Wigan?) hit one in injury time to sink them.

Yes. To me it was as exciting as the first weekend of March madness used to be.
