Looking more and more like Barcelona might splash for Miralem Pjanic. The release clause is €38m.

Any idea where Adem Ljajic could go to?

Like JackWoods says Fiorentina has been rumored as a possibility.
Seems Roma may be interested in Matias Vecino, Fiorentina's young Uruguan DM.

I think though that a lot of these moves will wait on
1) Spalletti getting Ljajic in training as it's not out the realm of possibility that Spalletti seems him as a better fit for the 4-2-3-1 than Garcia did for his 4-3-3.

2) A lot of these decisions will likely wait on whether Pjanic / Roma can agree on wages for a new contract.

Whether Pjanic stays or goes is going to mean a quite different mercato.

Stronger rumors of Chelsea preparing a bid to get Antonio Candreva from Lazio for about €25m.

THe bit that I've seen he appears to be a calm presence on the ball. Spends most of his time on the right wing and is a good passer that puts in a lot of effort. Has spent some time in the center of the park as well and a good enough passer.

Just a solid, steady man with the ball on his feet that helps to spring the attack. Others who watch Serie A more often might agree/disagree/have way more to offer on me.

Candreva would be threat to lead the EPL in the percentage of passes/plays that he actually pulls off which English pundits would label "cheeky"

He would seem to be a very good fit for the EPL as well.

He's a creative passer, pretty fast and can dribble his marker. That Simeone/Atletico tried to buy him last season and that Conte loves him tells you about his defensive work rate and toughness.

His best attribute though is a wicked right foot crossing and shooting.

His natural position is right winger but he's a "football player" with the right blend of tactical nuance and creativity to be able to play anywhere in the attack.

The one concern about Candreva is that he wasn't that great this past season for Lazio after being one of the best players in the league the previous couple of seasons.

That's most likely due to all negativity around Lazio from management, players etc this season. However, he is 29 and there has to be a little concern that he's feeling the wear and tear since he plays such a physically demanding style .

Seeing some rumblings on the Twitter that Arsenal have triggered the release clause in Jamie Vardy's contract. Not sure how valid this is yet but would be interesting if true.
