Is this still done via spreadsheet? I'd put in for 2 nd division, but doing everything manually was a PITA last time.
Yes, but it sounds like there may be websites out there.
Plus, the commish does everything outside of manually scoring each team every week.

I would be more than willing to join the 2nd division. I did it a couple years ago but it fell apart toward the middle of season unfortunately. If you all decide to do it this year I would love to join and give it another go because it was a lot of fun until a few people lost interest.

Hmm, it appears all the rules are the same. Personally, I like that we have built our own league, but what is everyone's thoughts on using this?
Should the second division use it as a trial? Both leagues? Neither leagues? Thoughts?

I used it last year with a bunch of the other TD posters in a private league. It worked very well. I'm fine with either way, just thought it might be easier on everyone not having to add it up on their own. Then again I'm a lazy frick.

Any opinions on other members? I would vote REMAIN.

Am I first or second division? Lol?
I guess I'm torn - would love for it to be easier but it seems that website wouldn't leave as much reason for the posts and charm of the TD thread, which is part of the point.

You would stay in first division. We can't have people buying their way into the Premier League without cutting their teeth in the rigors of the Championship.
Yeah, I really like the fact that we have "built" our own site and follow everything through the league. I think engagement would decrease if the website did the work.

What's the minimum of posters we need to make a second league viable?

Yeah, let's keep the math on here. I know people would miss my post-match comments, and we need VKC's highlight posts for each game week.
I think the best way to do the first and second division is have 10 in each. Say the top two from the Championship go up and the bottom two from the Prem go down.
A playoff game for the third spot between the eighth-place Prem team and the third-place Championship team during the final two weeks of the season when our mini FA Cup with the top four would be fun... like how the Bundesliga does it. Or maybe a playoff in the Championship for a third spot while the FA Cup is going on (the English way) would work.
But if we want to do strict two up, two down, that works.

I was on the waitlist already, but I'd join the second division if another person doesn't drop out. Do we have to draft Championship players??

Yep. Better brush up on your Burton Albion scouting.

S, please guide me with me your infinite wisdom.

I would prefer to stay with how we've done it for the 4 seasons prior. It's really not that difficult to keep up with scoring a team once a week.

After hearing out the infinite wisdom of our league members, we will stand pat on how we run this league.
We need ten for each division. We can do in-season tournaments between divisions (FA Cup and even Capital One Cup). The battle for promotion/relegation will be lit. I like the Bundesliga style system.

I agree with the German version. Will make for a very intense last few weeks. Can't wait.

Bump for Sticky and anyone interested in playing.

Hey GC. Are you the one to get the TD H2H league set up at fantasy.premierleague.com?
Posted on 7/26/16 at 11:59 am to 20legend
I think we can move on from sticky since there is no response.
Since Col Reb was the first to ask for a waiting list spot, you have the first option to survey. Here a couple preliminary questions:
1. How often do you read the soccer board?
2. How often do you post on the soccer board?
3. Have you played fantasy sports before? If so, what sports and have you played fantasy soccer?
4. Have you used the Fantasy Premier League site to play in the larger TD budget based league?

Do we have a list of interested parties for the Championship? Think they need to get sorted out around the same time as we get things going.
