I'll set them up again this year. Last I checked the fantasy site wasn't up and running yet.

I'm in again - but if I don't show improvement, I'll let myself be relegated after the season.

The site was not up when I created this thread. It said to check back in July (hopefully by the end of this week). We obviously cannot start the draft without the league site.

Or without a full league line-up. C'mon guys, let's check in!

I can text or email them by the end of the week. I will give them a few more days. There is not much soccer right now.

GC is an impatient one when it comes to this league.

Not impatient, but our drafts seem to take forever. With the league starting on the 13th, that doesn't leave that much wiggle room to get things going.

Sorry for the wait boys. I'm definitely in. There are actual sites that calculate scores now for table play if we want to use one of those. That way we don't have to wait for players to calculate their own scores.

Also, I know this will be massively unpopular by I'll mention it anyway. I think it would be fun to relegate the bottom one or two managers in the table. Basically, you're just not eligible to play the next season and someone new comes in. This way we're playing for pretty high stakes and new people get a chance to break into our league so it's different every year.

I realize that won't be a very popular proposition so I'll just shut up and go back to my corner....

BPG - I think it's a good idea and a few relegated people might be incentivized to create the championship (which failed a few years ago). I was planing on dropping next year if I don't do better as that would be three years lower table performance - but if we want to make that live this year I would be ok with that for the good of the fantasy league.

I may then try to create the championship (where I can also get my arse kicked and essentially rename my team Bolton or black pool or whatever club has been relegated several years in a row). Look for me to create the TD Vanarama National North Fantasy League in a few years.

My terrible finish last year (ignoring the playoff) is what has had me delaying saying, "I'm in". I'll humbly bow out of the top league and let some new blood in.

Now if for some reason you guys are short, I'll give it another go

If we do a 2nd division I'm definitely in.

If we can get a decently run second division in, I'm all for it. Makes life at the bottom of the table more exciting.

I can help run the 2nd division. Of course I would need a rundown on everything but I have the time to devote to it.

Agreed. I think it would up the stakes a whole lot and make for some interesting league stories of staying up on the last day for some, or fighting to the bitter end, or whatever. I think there's enough interest for a championsip league to start, its just a matter of whether or not it'll stay together. That seems to be the problem every time the idea gets tossed around. Who knows, if there's enough interest in a second league maybe even they could boot the bottom team out and bring in someone new every year.

We could also do a cup winners cup for the last week of the season. Winners of both leagues play or something along those lines. Or have Champions League weeks where the top 4 teams in each league are entered into a group competition. The possibilities are endless.

There is no reason for you to bow out for a bad season. I would rather have proven owners who show they are active. If this second division actually happens, then you can stay in the first tier.

I am all for a second division and would be more than happy to assist in management. I have league management essentially down to a science, and I could easily set up the second league. The key is to have a diligent commish and active owners.

Damn, that is harsh. I would rather play for money instead of booting people entirely.

I doubt we are short (unless we do this second division), but I would like to have you back. In or out?

Is this still done via spreadsheet? I'd put in for 2 nd division, but doing everything manually was a PITA last time.
