And to think, Spartak Moscow sacked Emery after a few months. I love Russian football.

Seems I recall hearing from a match commentator once that Emery was born East London? Did he grow up there? Maybe he's a Hammer like Cockney Rejects and Cock Sparrer. . .
Emery met with De Laurentiis from Napoli and supposedly got an offer but that he hasn't agreed makes me think he may be leveraging Sevilla and weighing other options.

No, Emery´s from Fuenterrabía (Hondarribia in Euskera or Basque).

Thanks, I must have brain wires crossed up from hearing the West Ham link . . . I recall hearing that some current Spanish manager was born in East London.

Sevilla's boss is linked with West Ham

Who we're talking about.
Makes sense, as West Ham's opening up a new stadium soon and is going to have a lot of money to spend soon. They have to think they can at least match Southampton's rise.
Seems that after Ancellotti rebuffed Milan's advances, Siniša Mihajlovic will soon be named the new manager.
Berlusconi supposedly offered Ancellotti a huge spending spree in the mercato if he would take over.
If anything near the same applies for Mihajlovic, he could be pretty successful there. He was extremely impressive at Sampdoria.

Arsenal will offer €50m for Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain, claims Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Argentina international, who has a contract at the Sao Paulo until 2018, is understood to be unhappy with life in Naples after the Serie A club's poor season last time out.
And the Italian sports daily says Higuain's brother and agent will meet with Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis in the next few days to discuss the player's exit from southern Italy.
Thats a lot of cheese for so many sitters to be missed

The first editions of Thursday's national newspapers are trickling through and it's Raheem Sterling's face that looks out from the back of the Mirror. The paper says that Manchester United are ready to make a £25m move for the unsettled Liverpool man - and believes that could trigger responses from both Manchester City and Real Madrid.

Too much money. He would score a lot of goals as well as miss many goals.

Dick driving me crazy with this in, out, IN business...
He had promised his wife he'd retire after his 3 month contract. Guess she's sick of him already.

If Higuain is unhappy Napoli isn't in the Champions League, maybe he shouldn't have blown that penalty against Lazio.

I read a rumour last week that Arsenal was interested in Gerard Moreno from Villarreal for 7 million. Obviously Higuain is better, but still, that's a big difference in transfer fee and Moreno is young with good potential.
