I definitely wouldn't take Valdes over him but I do agree that he is slightly overrated.

It has nothing to do with my panties being in a wad, yoda. But rating Valdes over Neuer is just hilarious.

In a one-off important match, I´d take Valdés.

In a friendly or match with a mid to lower table side, Neuer.

This will change however, as I really do believe Neuer is the next king between the pipes.

From what I've seen, that Curtois fella looks to be on the fast track to the top as well.

He is amazing. Neuer may never enjoy a truly undisputed reign.

who has really? impossible to gauge the best in the upper echelon.

more outlets running with the Arsenal-El Shaarawy bid rumors, though none have added any new info so probably not true.

I´d say Buffon had at least three seasons, and Casillas two, maybe three.

Schmeichel had two, at least.

You say Neuer has mental lapses and then you pick fricking Valdes against him. You are a ridiculous homer.

He is assailed upon regularly on this board, for the very same thing. Hence, the comment.

Damn, Vick. Digest before belching.

All I am asking for is for you to pick a better Spanish keeper than Valdes.

I was being serious. I think he´s great in über important matches, when he doesn´t have time to think.

He is all instinct, no brains, hence he fricks up against lesser opposition.

I mean, Neuer posted back-to-back clean sheets against Barcelona...now, several factors played into it, but Neuer was money all season long.

Anybody could have kept a goose egg over the two ties.

I don´t recall seeing him stop any shots. Seriously.

Neuer had an 80% save percentage this year.

Valdes had a 65% save percentage, which doesn't tell the complete story but finding stats for goalkeeping is tough and without them, it's all conjecture.

I also found this comparison pretty good for the people who hated on Mou

To be fair, this is also evident in big games where teams can manage to create an adequate sample size.
