re: For the Miles to Michigan hopefuls. One thing to think about - hogeb
I'd rather keep Miles, but if he leaves, I wouldn'nt mind elevating Cameron to HC, keeping Chavis, and making Wilson OC. I would like to maintain some consistency for next year with our young talent. Cameron could open things up, but a wholesale transition would more than likely waste our opportunit...

re: LSU is actually on the incline - hogeb
This is actually showing stability with some internal trends, but next year will determine if we are in decline or not. A good year will continue the trend over the long term. A down year next year may be cause for concern, but still not a "decline". :geauxtigers:...

re: Buddy Songy just said B Harris will not see the field - hogeb
It COULD be a Sam Montgomery type of situation, but we don't really know anything. And we'll probably never know what's really going on. None of the rumors used on either side of this argument have anything to back them up, so there's no reason to spin this either way. I just think it's funny how qu...

re: Buddy Songy just said B Harris will not see the field - hogeb
If the comments are leaked from the staff, does that mean they aren't true? Is BH absolved of his immaturity because the coaches leak information to the media instead of exposing him directly? We don't know if there is a problem at all, at this point, so this is all speculation. There's certainly no...

re: 2012 Mett was written off by many as a bust - hogeb
No, he is not comparing AJ to Mett. he is comparing situations. Mett improved, and the suggestion is that AJ can too. The illiteracy on this board is amazing and it always leads to the derailing of an otherwise worthy discussion. It reminds me of Monty Python's argument sketch....

re: I'm curious to know more about the earthquake game... - hogeb
Dr. Juan Lorenzo in the geology department is the one to talk to about the authenticity of the event and subsequent monitoring of seismic activity during LSU games. re: The myth that Wisconsin "stopped running the ball" in the second half - hogeb
LSU wanted to stop Wisconsin's running game without selling out against it, but that didn't work. They kept trying to "fix" the mistakes the dine and lbers were making all the way through the first series of the second half before making the adjustment to move more defenders to the line to fill the ...

re: Anthony Jennings is/will be legit - hogeb
I agree, I like what we saw from AJ last night. He stayed calm and worked through some adversity to make some good plays. He showed a good awareness of game situations and made good decisions. Once the screen game is ironed out, he will be fine....

re: Is there enough time for Harris to win the job game 1? - hogeb
I hate to say it, but I think the experience with J. Lee has made Les skittish about starting freshmen. I think he will work Harris in slowly just to build his confidence in real game situations. He may give Harris a couple of series in the Wisconsin game to get his feet wet, but I don't see him sta...

re: Spring Game set for April 5th.......time TBD - hogeb
I'm most interested in seeing how the defensive players are utilized. Particularly Beckwith, Feist, and Louis at linebacker. But also Herron, Bain, and Gilmore on the DL. I'm hoping to see players settle in to their best positions, and I'm anxious to see how Chavis puts it all together....

re: Travante's Party: Grantland feature on Valentine - hogeb
This is a great article that really puts things in perspective. These are kids living their dream. The parents are proud as peacocks, and the schools care about the kids and want what's best for them. For fans to become jaded about "the process" and post negative comments about these kids is asinine...

After reading that article I think he would flourish under a coach like Miles. He needs a players coach who makes playing fun. Hope he feels the same way. :geauxtigers:...

re: Calipari gives LSU all the credit - hogeb
Yes, I remember that about Brown. That's why I respected him so much and enjoyed rooting for him. From what I gather from following KentuckySportsRadio (I grew up in KY but attended LSU), Calipari is similar, though he doesn't have the length of career, so I wouldn't say he has done as much, but I ...

re: LSU vs UK 1/28 - hogeb
LSU seems to be getting respect from KY fans. This is from KentuckySportsRadio: [quote]LSU has two really good bigs in Johnny O’Bryant and freshman Jordan Mickey, who was named to the Wayman Tisdale Watch List for best freshman of the year, along with Julius Randle and James Young. Cal called O’B...

Yeah, I did mean Young. I have dyslexia with those two, I don't know why. I grew up in Richmond, though I haven't lived there for over 30 years. I try to keep up with KY BB, somewhat. I agree that they seem to be coming together, and I think they likely beat LSU by between 5 - 10, but if they are vu...

re: LSU vs UK 1/28 - hogeb
KY is not as good on the road as at home, so there's a chance, though a slim one. The Harrison twins are getting better, and that's a bad sign for LSU. Cauly-Stein also broke out of his slump against Georgia, so he could be dangerous. KY may be finally settling in as a team and not a group of freshm...

re: LSU Is Going To Land Three More 5 Stars In This Class - hogeb
I think we are fairly likely to get Dupre, Valentine, Kelly, and Trey L. I have my fingers crossed for Adoree, Carter, and Young, but would be pleasantly surprised by any of them. I also think we will pull 2-3 others, depending on whether we get any of the three or none, from Porter, Granier, Gage, ...
